I've been on the fence about this ever since I heard about it. I usually collect the Star Wars Titanium line of ships. So if I start this now, I assume I would start from the beginning with the Enterprise D and work my way up?

They are now saying. "Our Terms of Service does not allow 3rd party hosting with your current account level." So they want you to pay to upgrade even though for years they had no problem until now.

Also it seems they have gotten more ads on the site when you are looking at your photos & searches.

I guess there's a reason everybody calls them "bloatbucket".

Hey all,

just curious what some of you folks with larger collections have been doing to display them. I have a display case from Ikea but there is so much of a gap in between the shelves it just wastes a bunch of space

I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on the starship collection and have ordered the Reliant, the 1701A and the Abrams movie Enterprise (oversized edition). No idea when they'll arrive, but looking forward to them arriving

I do collect the Dr Who figurines collection and that's at issue 107 with an anticipated run of at least 120 issues!! Plus specials, plus a sub-collection of special Daleks for subscribers. I try not think about the money...

To answer the question on displaying, I don't put all of mine out. Partly because I don't like all the figures but also so I can refresh the display every now and then. I will soon be buying an IKEA Billy bookcase which will be my main display area for sixth scale figures and the smaller figurines, etc

I have a small collection of STSS's. The ability to source the models in NZ became frustratingly random.

As an instance we started 1 year behind everyone, and I personally waited 14 months for the availability of issue 36, the Grissom. It never arrived, and I'd subscribed to receive it. but surrounding issues were available, and then availability to secure future models was never a guarantee. I cancelled my subscription and kept it to a handful of models, and now nicely enough I was able to arrange my self one addition of The Vengeance last month, and I couldn't be happier.

My small collection

Really interested in the Large Voyager coming out, mainly because I wish Diamond Select would release a version with lights and sounds. I love Voyager's design.

Also need to get some of the dedication plaques someday.

There are a few designs approaching like Discovery, Shenzou and Andrew Proberts depiction of the Enterprise C which I am keen on as well as a design from Star Trek Online, which looks freakish!

Unfortunately, rather than add the Discovery to the existing collection there will be a new magazine and model series based on the new series. Not sure how that will happen as the series is running now, so how will they be able to make the models regularly?

I'm interested in this but I have questions.

1. Is it a club or can I order the ones that I want anytime I want?
(I've joined clubs before and sometimes they are difficult to deal with. Like automatically sending you stuff and then I have to send them back. Or when I'm not interested in it anymore to cancel it and yet they keep sending me stuff and charging my card.)

2. What are they made of? If die cast metal, is it completely metal including the nacelles?

1. You can do it either way. Iíve only ordered the ones that I want. However, membership has its perks. There have been exclusive units only available to members. I donít know of any other perks myself as I only wanted 4 or 5 of them which were spread across 30+ monthly units.

2. They are MOST metal, but there is some plastic in there on occasion. Iím not at home and I havenít looked at mine in a while to remember what exactly.

Been along time since anyone last posted on here so with the arrival of the 11th XL model (USS Enterprise from Discovery) I thought I would post a pic...
