Received an older Trainspotting code that only had redemption options for Vudu and GP. It seemed the Vudu portion is dead because it said "Promotion Not Found" when trying to redeem it in Vudu. The GP portion might've worked, but now we'll never know now.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Deep Impact purchased from Amazon Canada does not come with digital movie code after all even though it says it is included in the listing descriptions. Was hoping for an iTunes option like The Core. Amazon Canada sent 1st one with no code and after customer service confirmed internally that it was supposed to come with a digital code, sent a replacement that also did not have a digital code.

I have this version of The Town with one of the old Digital Copy slips that has a disc symbol instead of an O. Same Dec. 2011 expiry. I just redeemed it directly on iTunes and only got SD.

Should I have used the WB Redeem site instead? If you did it the way I did it and got 4K, consider yourself lucky!

They only direct iTunes code is a disc based code. So, it actually redeemed SD. Try looking in the iTunes App Store and the ATV App Store page. Or go to reportsproblem to see how the purchased was recorded. Also check MA to see what it ported.

Don’t know of any WB direct redeem code that was disc/xml based code before they switched to UV/Vudu/MA redemptions. So, the title redeemed SD. They’re most likely looking thru the ATV app, which does show what you own, but the highest quality available in the store or a connected streaming app.

4K spreadsheet says Crank redeems on iTunes. May be referring to the HD code but if HD redeems there I would see no reason that the 4K wouldn’t.

But as far as I know the old listing that redeemed is not and has never been 4K. It certainly didn't port to MA in 4K.

That's correct when you do a search, or check the information of a title in your Up Next.

However, in your library, it can even be more confusing when it comes to SD titles.

If you own a title in SD on iTunes, but that title is available in 4K on iTunes, your library will show that you own it in 4K/DV.

I don't know if it's been fixed or not, but at one time, playing an SD title which Apple has available in 4K would actually play in SD/HDR10 or SD/DV.

If a title is available in 4K, but you own it in HD, it correctly shows that you own it in HD/SDR, and will play back as such.
