I was also hoping they'd release the German episodes as well as the Montreaux special & other Python related stuff.

This sucks. So where's the best place to buy their titles now if you're based in the US? I always ordered direct

Was Out a sight exclusive as I can't find it on Amazon?

Same. Network switched me on to Robbery (the finest car chase ive seen on film), The Lurpack Fiesta ahem I mean The Nightcomers, Wilt, Sweeney 1 and 2, Slingers Day, The Piglet Files (I'm still missing volume 3 and I'll never stand a chance of getting it now), Home To Roost, Deadlier Than The Male and an absolute boatload more. Gutted I've missed out on the Taylor Loren London Rome Blu too now.

While not quite up to Indicator levels I absolutely LOVED the little pack in booklets they made. Always filled with interesting facts and stories.

Death Line was another blind buy. Turned out to be one of the best films I've ever seen (Sharon Gurney was absolutely outstanding in it). The Nightcomers reversible sleeve was packed with so much stuff it looked like the inside of a Soho telephone box.

Biggest win for me though was their release of Small Town Story. An absolutely whopper film which was on the BFI's most wanted list for YEARS as the film was assumed lost forever. They released a scan of the only known print in existence in the entire world and did a splendid job with it. Get that one before the scalpers take all the remaining copies.

Really am stunned they just disappeared instantly. They'll be missed. Hopefully they will live on in some fashion soon...

This doesn't apply to debit card purchases though I believe.

What horrible news, I always liked Network not because of their blu ray releases mainly but due to their heavy dvd collection.

I will miss the dvd`s more to be honest and that is why when cheap I purchased alot of them couse I feared most would never make it to blu ray.

The books were fantastic too. The Prisoner episode guide, The Professionals books, the Python guides.

Still got Jack the Ripper to watch. Also Hell Drivers, Walcott and most of the Python boxset.

To happier times 🍻

PS - glad I held onto my complete Sweeney dvd set.

I hope so too. Just last March I was corresponding with a very nice lady at Network and when I expressed my sympathy for the loss of their founder, she responded by saying that everyone was pulling together and determined to keep the label going for many years to come. Plus only a couple of weeks or so ago I had corresponded with their usual CSR, "Joe" and he told me they were focusing on implementing IOSS for all their international customers.

Unless these were just temporarily placating messages to me, it sounds like they might not have had much advance notice. Anyway you look at it, it's a shame.

Just heard the news, came here for the first time in the while to post how gutted I am. I expect many of us have bought some their mostly excellent releases. Shame there will be no more. No other company released really niche British TV series and films (at not least to the scale Network did).

Network is the only label that I gave a dedicated space to on my shelves. It's mostly DVD and not always the best quality with regards picture and audio, but it's stuff that probably wouldn't have seen the light of day without Network's participation, so the releases are a treasure to me: Sapphire and Steel, Children of the Stones, Into The Labyrinth, etc.

I'll sincerely miss them.

I'm sad to hear this news. I don't have a ton of Network titles in my library, but I discovered some gems like Rome Express, Hot Enough for June, Deadlier Than the Male, and I also had their excellent releases of Monty Python and The World at War.

Tremendously sad news.

Some fantastic releases, including television shows from my childhood and youth that I am so grateful made it to BD: Captain Scarlet; Joe 90; and The Professionals - plus my all-time favourite, The Persuaders!

Also picked up quite a few movies over the years, many of which again may not have gotten a BD release if not for Network.

A real shame. My thoughts are with the affected employees, and all those who made Network such an important part of our collecting community.

Just can't believe this! The Red Balloon was one of the first few BDs I'd bought when I started this hobby in 2012!

It was there usual recent years, slightly limited, slip case and booklet, edition before run out, and released more standard one to amazon etc. So they hadn't got round to releasing standard one yet...

Any chance of Universal obtaining the rights to and re-releasing Monty Python Complete Series on Blu-Ray since they've done the DVD?

Damn. Network was the only label to step forward and put Ken Russell's French Dressing on DVD. I bought it just in case the Blu never appeared. And to my amazement they released Blu-rays of Tarka the Otter and The Belstone Fox, which I don't think would have otherwise ever seen the light of day.
