It is indeed interesting seeing two Hot Rewards listed at the same time at 400 points.

I don't recall seeing that before. Typically, by the second week, any left over stock gets an increase in price. It's nice of them to leave the lower price.

PS - I am still excited for Indy 5 regardless of what early reviews say. I've already got my tickets!

I decided to go in completely blind to Indy, and only watch the trailers if they happen to be on a movie I watch in theaters. They haven't been, for some reason, although I haven't seen a movie since Ant-Man 3. I'm not going in any Indy threads and not looking at any potential spoilers. There's no question I'm seeing it in theaters. I'm not going to break a perfect record of seeing the entire Indy franchise in theaters in their original runs. Definitely not looking forward to the Phoebe Waller-Bridge character, who doesn't seem like a particularly charismatic person. And not crazy about "neo-Nazis" being the villains. Seems like another forced retro move like Force Awakens went for in so many areas, including bringing back Empire 2.0. But getting another new John Williams score out of it should be a plus. I haven't seen many Mangold movies. I thought Logan was overrated, but worth watching once. People forget he also directed The Wolverine though, which was an order of magnitude less impressive than Logan. I never liked how that one did an inferior copy of the masterful "alien abortion" scene from Prometheus.

I always thought it was odd how Woody Allen's Sleeper seemed to have a parody of C-3PO with its own effeminate robots, except it came out 4 years before Star Wars. Maybe Lucas was subconsciously influenced by it. R2-D2 is not much more than a smaller copy of Herbie the Love Bug himself. And Chewie was a refugee from the Planet of the Apes series.

It's happened a couple times that I can remember, but it's quite rare. Usually the outgoing Hot Reward only last a small amt of time and DMI pulled it after and hour or two I guess realizing the error.

We'll see how long this double up lasts.

You could try the mobile app or browser using your data and not Wi-Fi.

Otherwise some sort of VPN that goes through a non Quebec province. Opera Browser has a free built in VPN so if you don't have some sort of alternative, that usually works.

Otherwise if you ISP is routing through Quebec I'm not sure you can directly change that, but you could contact your service and see if they can explain why or see if they'll update something. I'm not sure why specifically a lot of Toronto/Ontario members have had this issue lately.
Another member had an issue recently, but he was actually in Montreal so at least it made sense -- I think he used a VPN to route back through Ontario or BC.

I think the last time it happened (just a few months ago, but I can't remember what the reward was), the leftover item just sort of stuck around until the next day. And then whatever system cleanup happens overnight, just swept it away. I don't think it was manually removed during the day.

Given how hard Disney is pushing the movie, it probably was a deliberate choice. I don't know why they pull these things in the first place when there's surplus, unless it hurts the "Hot Reward" brand. Just let it sell out naturally!

I'll probably go for those double points, and to finally see an Indy movie in the theatre (I already thought KOTCS was the last shot before now), unless further reviews are terrible -- then it'll be relegated to D+.

My concern, besides the reported woke influence, is that any good parts or improvements from KOTCS will be offset by the downsides of it being yet another 15 years from the OT. Hopefully, even with a new director (notwithstanding that he's done good movies and is a fan himself), it still feels like part of the old series.

The Little Mermaid was given 2 weeks for double points. Not sure why some movies get 2 weeks window and some get only a week window. Is it really based on the possibility of poor box office that get 2 weeks?

I thought that was exactly the rationale. Seems like movies that are a sure-fire thing to be #1, like GOTG3 or the upcoming Indy, just get a week. Even movies that were likely to open on top but the forecast/reception was iffy, like TLM, get an extra week (as do movies that aren't expected to do great, like Searchlight dramas).

I'm sure there's some economic model behind it too, like the more front-loaded the movie is going to be, the more they want to encourage first-week attendance since it's more $$$ for the studio.

Are you sure that e-mail was from Amazon.ca? BE CAREFUL! I get about 20 e-mails a day from every company you could possibly imagine telling me all kinds of BS about my accounts having all kinds of strange activity on them and providing a link to click on to rectify the issue. They are becoming EXTREMELY convincing and authentic looking. So, if there is one that actually appears like it could be legit, I always phone the company directly to inquire. Not once has any of those e-mails ever proved to be legit.

EDIT: Received 3 of these e-mails while typing the comment above. 2 from Amazon and 1 from Best Buy.

Yes, it’s an official email from amazon. It makes sense as it was immediately after i signed in from a link i clicked on in a discord server. Ordered the product and also received a confirmation email from amazon.ca for the order.

The one thing i don’t understand is why my ISP (Virgin) is routing my service through Quebec. Annoying. Hope it gets resolved soon.
