From what I can see in these figures, very little of the credit goes to him.

[Show spoiler]
I noticed a Dippin' Dots stand at my local Regal a few weeks ago. It is manned by Regal employees.

Really? The seating in the standard auditoriums at the two AMCs I go to are all heated recliner seating. The location of the button makes it easy to inadvertently turn the heat on. So you’re sitting there and then all of a sudden you’re wondering why your ass is heating up. It’s mostly unnecessary where I live as it doesn’t get that cold and every building has centralized heating and cooling.

One of my locations recently got this too. It used to have a Marble Slab Creamery next to the ticket window, but the catch was you couldn’t bring the ice cream into the auditoriums since it wasn’t sold by Regal. They were independent.

The design of your theater looks very similar to one of mine. Must be a former Edwards Theater.

I don't think I've seen heated seats even when I've been to Canada...

The seats at my theater are almost always heated. But it's not the seat doing it. I'd hate to know what the last person sitting there had to eat.

Here’s a first. Arrive at 1:45 for a 2 p.m. showing on the fake IMAX screen and the previous showing (for a different movie) is still playing! Everyone is standing outside waiting to get in. At about 1:55 people start to go in and the auditorium is still dark and the end credits are playing. Either the staff cleaned in the dark during the credits or the previous audience was the cleanest group of moviegoers ever.

It was already a really nice theater, but they're modernizing it and putting up Regal signage everywhere. It was originally an Edwards Theater. Some sections are finished and they put new seating in every auditorium. The IMAX, RPX, lobby, and main concessions area are still being worked on. So for now the only premium formats they have are 4DX and ScreenX.
Off i10 in Houston correct? They're actually working on the IMAX again?!?!?!?

$283 MILLION should get a decent amount of credit.

Are the studious still trying to kill theaters, as I only ask cause when Mario Bros is still #4 at the box office making decent money, why put the dvd/Blus out already and take away from theatrical money?

Consumers can learn patience again. We had it in droves growing up. The next generation can do it too.

I think it's mostly just Universal.

As I seen people on here say over the last few years that movie theaters are outdated and have run their course and streaming is the new king. Saying how much theaters suck and viewing a new movie within their home is the best experience. And don't have to leave the house cause of their home theater set up.

I can only imagine watching The Portal scene from Endgame at home or Avatar 2. Even No Way Home. Guess a 65" inch is cinema.

I was honestly surprised to see such a short window between theatrical and a home release. That movie is still bringing in cash at the box office.

I also assumed it would have a lot more fanfare for a home release given how well it performed.

Time marches on. Things change. Generations make those changes. Once the Genie is out of the bottle, he doesn't go back in.

There is an expression used in sales/marketing which explains the release of the PM: STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT.

No question there. But Lee was suggesting that Cameron deserved ALL of the credit.
