So I'm upgrading. I just placed and order to upgrade my PB 12nds. So i was just curious on how everyone feels about the pb-4000? I'm sure I will love it but just thought I'd see how others feel.

I’ve had an SVS SB2000 for a couple of years now but never really took proper advantage of it since i lived in an apartment. I live in my own house now and finally completed the home theater room. Volume was turned up to theater levels.

Holy shit, this little sub is really, REALLY good. I’m very impressed. Some scenes with hollow explosions made me feel like the whole room was shaking. Immersion was splendid.

I know what you mean. I have two of them and have not felt the need to upgrade from them. Go dual if you have an AVR/Prepro that has dual outputs. I have mine paired with an AV8802A and the performance is even better.

picking an SVS sub

SVS' are great subs
In addition to room size, the system playback level also has a significant influence. If you like to push the system to loud levels (like an IMAX theater) and want to ‘feel the bass’ on demanding action and sci-fi movies, consider our more powerful extreme performance models. Conversely, if you listen at more moderate levels, a less powerful model can deliver a no-compromise experience, and will also be easy to integrate in your room.

1. If you want IMAX levels, you won't be picking up an SVS sub.
2. I don't think there are consumer amplifies capable of playing IMAX levels

Anyone have first-hand experience concerning sb-2000 vs sb-3000? I am a very happy owner of an SB-2000, but can't help but wonder what, if any, improvement an sb-3000 would make in my <3000 ft3 room.

It's ideal to have two seperate subwoofer/LFE outputs on your receiver/pre pro but not a deal breaker just buy one of these splitters from monoprice. I would ask monoprice if that's what you need before you buy it, there very helpful with questions on monoprice.

True, not a deal breaker but you are missing some great bass effects if you don't have dual outputs.

Make yourself a couple of Bill Fitzmaurice TUBA HT subs.

I understand your sarcasm. I get it. I didn't believe it either until I tried it. I was determined that I would return the sub and I didn't. This is one of the few myths I was not able to bust.

I just got a PB-2000 delivered today. Excited and hoping I like it.

Typically I like sealed boxes better but the reviews for this were really good. Luckily SVS has a really good return program if bought directly...

Just thought i'd chime in..

Question for you guys... Has anyone tried the wireless adapters they make for subwoofers?

Curious how well they actually work?

Sweet, I'm still thoroughly enjoying my PB-2000s. You should enjoy it for years to come.

Most receivers use an internal Y, only the highest end receivers have true dual channel outputs.

So, ive been playing around with this PB-2000 for the last week or so and ive always personally been more a fan of sealed boxes. This PB is pretty good, but curious to what you guys thing... Would 2 x SB-2000's (sealed boxes) be better than this one PB-2000? I have the 45 day trial to decide... or should I rephrase that by asking would the 2 x SB-2000's at least equal the PB-2000?
