The turn around on the amp issue was very slow to say the least. It uspet a lot of folks with dead MFW-15s taking up space. Many of them were very vocal about how they felt about this. I have seen many of them change their tune with their new amps installed and working. They are just happy to have the sweet bass coming from their MFW-15s again.

As far as the moral issues I just wanted to buy a great sub at a great price. I could care less about the dealings of MLS. There is a lot of information out there, but I would advise those reading to only listen to those with first hand knowledge. I don't care to hear anything on the subject from someone who has never owned anything from AV123.

My experience with AV123 was great through the whole process. They were very easy to reach during my wait for the MFW-15s to start shipping and answered all my questions. I was not charged until it shipped (and I knew ahead of time I would have to wait for the replacement amps to go out to those with dead MFW-15s before mine would go out the door). My Sub has had no issue. It was double boxed and packed well. The sub looked great despite being B-stock. There is no hum when running or popping when turned on. The amp runs warm, but not hot (and no hotter than my Outlaw sub's amp). And most important...this sub rocks!
I will say the opposite. I really don't care to hear anything more about someone who has bought from AV123

Listen, no need for the "F" bombs. I have never said anything bad about them at all, in fact like I said in a previous post and I'll quote " I have nothing bad to say at all about AV123. I never owned or ever will own a product of theirs. I can say I have read nothing but good things about the MFW-15 and it's sad to see all this negativity toward what seems to be a company with a good product." And when is it improper for someone to post in a thread even if they don't own the product. Get real

First off I wasn't refering to YOU when I said "I don't care to hear anything on the subject from someone who has never owned anything from AV123." I was talking about people who go on and on about stories told by someone who read something about someone who knew somebody, etc... They are so far removed from anyone who actually had an issue with AV123 that they start talking out of their asses about stuff they have no first hand knowledge about. This is not what you did, so I don't know why you seemed to take that comment personal.

But, since you want to persist...here is what you did do. You came into this thread and posted links to threads with AV123 bashing o' plenty. Then you act like "Oh, I don't own AV123 and have nothing bad to say about them, but gee I can't see how they will be around long with all this negative....blah, blah, blah...

I fail to see any contributions by you to this AV123 subwoofer conversation other than the big thread dump you took.

Anyone who reads that post would take it as a personal attack. I apologize since you say it wasn't As far as posting in this thread, of all the stuff I have read it's just sad to see this happing to them as some just don't let it go and move on like we should be doing here as well

I think I heard from StimpsonJCat that they were going up soon, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, good job grabbing one of these. If there are no problems with it, and there shouldn't be, you got one amazing sub for what you paid!

I was watching the $499 price for months, and when I heard last week the price was going back up I jumped on one as well.

The sub works perfect the first time i stared it, i just have to play with it, and use my spl meter later on.
I don't know you guys, but 399 plus shipping for this beauty is a heck off a deal.

Note:
My wife loved it too.

Thanks Mark for this great subwoofer.
Glad you're liking it. I remember the other thread where you were thinking about it and then finally purchased it.

Ok, the one thing that stinks about telecommuting is when packages like this arrive first thing in the morning! 8 more hours.... 8 more hours... *sigh*

And she's perty, too ! I unboxed it during my lunch break. I didn't quite get all the packing debris off yet, but it's obvious the piano black finish reflects EVERYTHING. It's a beauty for sure. Can't wait to get it hooked up!

Congrats red. I hear these things are a beast and they seem to have fixed all of the amp problems from what I can tell.

Thanks, forsberg! The amp fix definitely influenced my purchase, as did the price going back to "normal" after August.
