I have never heard the Viennas, how do they compare to the MAs, since you have heard both?

lol well they are two completely diffferent speakers. The Mozarts are a very laid back speaker with an excellent midrange. The bass output from these tiny cabinets is absolutely unbelieveable (my friends ALWAYS think i have a sub on for music hehe, but its really just all coming fom the Mozarts. My friend got his RS8's before i got my Viennas and i liked them so much that i almost got them or something from the Gold series. For music though the Viennas just do it for me. Its just all a matter of personal taste.

Problem is, the only place that most people can hear Viennas is at a Best Buy magnolia. Kinda of a shame because the receivers there don't do these 4ohm speakers justice. The bass output is "eh", and the sound is good, but setup is lacking at the stores. Once you actually hear them with good amplification and in a proper setup....ooooh buddy , its almost a whole new speaker lol.

I talked with Suzanne from AV123 today and she thinks the sub will be shipping sometime between tomorrow and the 2nd week of July. Another guy spoke to Kyle today and he seems to think they can get them out tomorrow or Monday. Either way if the ghosts of AV123's past don't appear I should have my MFW-15 in the next two weeks.

Then we will see if the reports of the well tested, solid amps are true.

Good luck Stimpson, I was just too scared to pull the trigger on one, but if the amp is solid, you got yoruself the kind of sub most dream of. I actually wanted that sub before I came across the SVS subs, so I picked my SVS PC12. Keep us posted, as I'm very curious....!

Looks like I'm not going to be picking up a 2nd one.

Now that my Onkyo 805 is crushed, I will be spending my subwoofer savings on a new receiver.

Anybody who buys these subwoofers are in for a rude awakening. You haven't experienced SQ from a 15" like you will with one of these. Not to mention they have the power to tear down walls.

Stimpson I really hope you take delivery of it that soon and that you won't have any trouble with it. It really is an awesome sub. If mine ever dies, I'm probably gonna go with the same sub forsberg just got. I started eyeballing the SVS when my MFW showed up with a bad driver, but since they sent me a replacement I haven't had any more trouble with it.

Footloose were you able to get a claim initiated? How is that going so far?

well it looks like AV123 did not make the projected shipment date. Looks like it will be another 2 weeks

Be careful here. They'll "two weeks" you to death if you let them. Keep calling and bugging them.

This is exactly why I decided to go with SVS for my sub upgrade. I just couldn't trust them based on their recent track record. No offense, but I just feel better now that I did go with SVS with the higher price tag. I know the AV's are great subs, especially for the price too, but this is the one kind of thing I can't deal with. Good luck, as I hope it really does work out for you.

Yep. They want to get all the warrenty replacement amps shipped first.

I don't mind waiting because we should get some feeback on the replacement amps before the new subs ship. I'm more worried about the amp working than the wait.

well they stated in advance that this might happen if they could not get all the warranty replacements done in time. So i knew i might come, but still sucks to see lol

Like Fireman stated, make sure this is not the beginning of a trend. I would hate to see you or anyone else get strung along because they continue to have problems in getting caught up. Remember, "the squeeky wheel gets the oil!"

they usually ship when the say they will so im not worried.

Update: The new amps have been shipping and I've seen a couple of reports of people installing them and getting their MFW-15's pumping out the bass again. From the reports of tracking numbers they should be all shipped by the end of the week. If this happens I would expect the new orders to start shipping next week.

I should also add that i called on monday and asked an estimated ETA for shipping and they said by the 14th if nothing else happens.

I'm sorry to hear you're facing more delays. What kind of timeframe are they giving you now?
