Default Where can I find a SteelBook™?

Are steelbooks just available online, or are they sold in stores?

It depends on which ones you're after.

The US and Canadian ones were sold in Best Buy/Future Shop but are now out of print.

I buy my French SteelBooks in stores as it's quicker and I get to choose exactly what copy I want (no bad surprises).

But I've also ordered a few online (especially from Germany).

Or else I buy them off people on this board or I trade them.

But if your question is whether the SteelBooks are exclusively sold online, then only the new James Bond movies will be.
The rest were sold in stores.

That sucks. I thought there might have been an import store or something.

I can see how it must hurt your wallet more than people who can buy them locally.

From now on you order them as soon as they come out right? In order to have them the cheapest and newest possible.

It's money draining isn't it?

At least it's something we can easily sell again.

You won't ever open your SBs will you?

no.. for collection only.. Maybe I will do like others members.. buy a normal disc for 10Ł to watch. Man, Blu-ray in Portugal still very expensive.. so I have to import everything.

I think mostly FYE. I think. Don't see the Best Buys here where I'm at with Steelbooks. I've heard from a couple of people here that they've seen them in FYE. I myself don't step foot in that place.

It's a matter of who is releasing the exclusive editions. If they are released by online stores like Amazon you won't find them in regular stores. If they are exclusive to Media Markt or Best Buy you'll find them exclusively on their shelves. It's that simple. But there's always eBay or forums like these where you can buy and trade.

You might be referring to DVD SteelBooks which were released by FYE.
