I'm using the binding post bar and have tried the banana plug to the top and bottom - still no luck.

I will go down to take a look at the binding bar again. I know it is tight, I'll just check for any corrosion.

Tonight I will run a jump cable directly from the back of the 5008 to the C2. I just wish I could put my hands on the crossover!

I gave up trying to speak with someone at Klipsch. Tried since September with no luck, not impressed with their customer service.

I found a high end gear repair shop in Georgia and dropped off the center channel speaker this morning. I'll keep you posted if the woofers are blown or the cross-over.

I would creep up on the level for the C2 or let the auto calibration set it for you.

I had my blown C2 woofers replaced, but they do not have the punch the original woofers did. I could not find direct replacement carbon fiber woofers. After the holiday I plan to send them in for a voice coil rebuild, sounds like it will be around $125/speaker.

Question about positioning.

I have my L+R surround speakers and L+R Rear speakers mounted to my ceiling, upside down. should I angle them a certain way so it sound better to the listener? Both sets are Nanosat Prestige Bookshelf Speakers.

No need to angle the speakers, just mount the surrounds with the supplied posts. I did that with my front and rear speakers.

thank you. your setup in insane! i can't even imagine how loud it must be.

I'm thinking of getting a Denon X3700H, replacing my front L+R with some tower speakers i have doing nothing; and moving the front L+R to the back at ear level, creating a 5.2.4 Atmos setup. Time will tell.

Sad this thread has been inactive for over a year. While not Mirage, I did recently pickup a pair of original Definitive Technology BP10 and they make me long for another pair of Mirages. I had been missing the presentation style of bipolar/omnipolar speakers after moving on from my OM9s, I had Martin Logans for a few years and then strayed into traditional box speakers. I was starting to lose interest in my system so I decided it was time for my speakers to find a new home a go back to what I enjoyed. The guy who bought my speakers had the BP10s and offered them as part of the deal. I knew within a few minutes of listening what was missing from my system. So my new dilemma, buy a like new pair of OM9s locally and go back to what I had knowing there is better out there, keep the BP10s and just be happy, or go big and pickup a pair of original Mirage M3 that have been re-foamed and should be good for another decade or so? The M3s are the easy answer I really don't have the room, they are huge!

Agree sad to see the Mirage speakers die out. The OMD series is still what I consider the perfect HT speaker. Still have my OMD 15 set, with C1 center and 5 rears with the Prestige 10 sub I bought from Vanns in 2010 for under $2000. I hope they last forever!! Keeping my eyes peeled for replacements in case one goes bad. They sound so natural for HT and the sweet spot is almost anywhere in the room. Don't see how these can be beat as HT speakers. Hope to have the OMD HT set up always!

Will admit for 2 channel music I enjoy other speakers more, esp. my Kef LS50 Wireless. But hope to have the OMD HT set up always!
I'm still using mine, and quite happy with it. Only "problem" is occasionally have to re-tighten the wiring on my C2 at the bindings as it works loose.

I too want them to last a long time. I wish I had space to get my other pair of 15's out.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the entire Omnipolor Module Assembly of the OMD-C1 can be used as a direct replacement for the OMD-5, I know the tweeters themselves are the same but can't find any photos where i can positively ID at least size wise the OMD-C1 Omnipolor tweeter module can be simply removed and used as a replacement on my OMD-5. I think the 4" Hybrid driver on the OMD-C1 under the tweeter is messing with my head so just looking for a little assurance. Speaker grill was off and I dropped one of my 5's straight through the tweeter of my other.... yea.... but seeing some cheap c1's and god knows i am not going to find someone selling a spare module. I am guess the plugs are even the same might be a longer wire or something but even if it not the same plug I can fix that.

My OMD-C2 sometimes loses bass (low end) signal, and I have to go and re-jigger the connections on the rear to get it to come back (some of the posts can shift slightly in the case).

Do you think it is easy enough to open up and see if I can't remake the connections on the interior? I would imagine that would help the problem.

The only Mirage I have left are the (4) OMD-5 which I use for rear surrounds. I did own 12 years or so ago OMD -15,OMD-28, OMD-C1 and OMD-C2. Also (2) Prestige S10 which I sold to StalkerVette. I may have a tweeter for the OMD-5-C1, have to check.

Probably too much to hope that they would support all the old Mirage products.

I am wondering how much I might lose if I did away with center channel and just used the mains for the center detail. I am still figuring out how to make my new room work, and if I end up with a TV, I am not sure if I could make the large C2 fit well without wall mounting the TV.
