1080p digital video camera for under 6k

6K ??? you can get a 1080 camera for barely more than 1K and it seems already expensive. You must be a millionaire to consider 6K a normal price for a camera.

Quexos, the EX1 is a professional camcorder that is being bought up by TV stations and videographers. The quality gives a $100k HDCAM a run for it's money.... I consider the EX1 to be a bargain too.... it's not to be compared with consumer HD cameras.

Wow I just found a picture of the EX1 and it looks beautiful but it's way out of my league moneywise. Now if you offer it to me I would accept it and take good care of it

I noted this line:

I find that line a little disturbing in that it implies that all those 1K camcorders claiming to be Full HD 1080i (or even P for some brands) are in fact not ?
I have also tried to find very specific technical details of the 1K camcorders and the least I can say is that they are ambiguous about their true capacity.
For example the Sony HR12 claiming to be Full HD 1080i when looking into technical details talks about "raw pixels" then "actual pixels" being a smaller figure.

I just had a look for you Quexos, they are right to claim full HD 1080x1920. It has a 5.6 megapixel CMOS sensor, it upconverts it to 10.2 megapixels for still images.
It uses 3.81 megapixels of the image sensor for 16:9 video, which is still higher resolution than 1080x1920, then it down converts it to a 1080x1920 for highest quality video recording. It is an amazing camcorder, forget the numbers and just get one and play around with it, you will be blown away.

I have the HVX200 and it's definitely worth it.
