Looks like the UK is getting the new boxset with the OVA as well, its also cheaper than the individual sets

Glad I held off checking this Anime out, I can wait till February.

Ended up buying a Got Anime membership early.

With the pre-order price + GA + 10% coupon the anniversary set ended up being $72.89 US for me

I regret cancelling my initial preorder and reordering with a coupon now lol. Mine hasn't been charged yet. I figured I did the reorder early enough but I guess not.

Maybe if they put in some effort they would get more sales. Like include the movies, dub them and remaster the video and audio from the old release. This is just a new fancy box for same release people already own. They've re-released it so many times.

This has the OVAs which haven’t been released in the west before, and they’re dubbed.

So they did the bare minimum. The OVAs are only 25-30 mins of content together.

I would've rather paid the extra couple bucks and had it early, had I known it would be so limited. As long as it doesn't get cancelled I guess I can't complain.

Bizarre that they didn’t even include the first short movie and Eizou Hakusho OVAs, which they’ve already released.

So I can confirm a few things since I have the set.

-The box is chipboard, as shown in that tweet. I don't think Crunchyroll promoted this but it might be part of why the set is limited.

-A bit hard to explain but the paper used for the covers are different quality compared to before. I noticed when properly moving then under the plastic so they don't get ruined later on.

TV series

-The discs are the exact same as the original BDs, even down to the somewhat unreadable subs. The disc credits has the exact same staff as the previous discs despite most of those guys leaving Funimation years ago and with "Crunchyroll LLC" replacing "FUNimation Productions" in the authoring credits.

OVA

-The disc credits has their current staff listed and the menu is different from the rest. A bit of a shame because the steelbook extra discs kept the same menu design as the old TV discs.

-The OVA was apparently translated by Toei Animation's US office since they're credited here instead of Steve Simmons who worked on the rest of the series (including the movie & OVAs not in the set). Weird because this isn't one of their shows.

-Everyone from the dub cast was brought back, including Chuck Huber & Laura Bailey.

-They brought back the dub's opening cover again but used a new edit of the one that was made for the end of the series finale instead of the opening version so there's differences in performance and the end lyrics.

TL;DR
If you don't care for the OVA or steelbook extras and have either of the previous sets, don't bother with this. Same goes for Dragon Ball GT & Cowboy Bebop for those thinking those sets will get any major updates.

Nope, it's all English credits, including the OVA.
