I can't wait to see the reviews on this one, as I never picked up the lackluster Mill Creek release.

The Mill creek looked good to me apart from some dnr. I like the 5.1 sound in it too. Makes it feel more like movies instead of just a tv series.

The German release will be available from October 1st, 2020

Note: Initial information that suggested this release would use new 4K masters was later found to be false.

Very good news, thanks. I have the old shoebox DVD set and the transfers on the eps. I've watched are looking quite tired these days. Miami Vice has a huge nostalgic factor for me, I watched it before I hit my teens and it was by far my favourite cop show. During lockdown, I decided to make a serious effort to watch the entire run. I created an episode log on my phone to keep track of my progress but as it happens so many times, I fell out of it and didn't make it past season 1. I find it hard to make time for TV on DVD, my viewing hours are limited and film will usually elbow it aside...

Learning to lip read. Unfortunately.

Neither Mill Creek's or Fabulous' sets have subtitles. The DE set might not have them either.

You can only buy from Koch's new online retail store. Launches 1st October so unclear if they ship internationally.

Yes, from the DE thread and this link, Miami Vice (the series) is getting a German Blu-ray release from new 4K masters, those discs have English and German subtitles. I don't think a price has been announced.
