Thanks Chip! I got on to their online chat and they confirmed it had arrived and put it in my received items (guess I jumped the queue there
![]() The five titles made for a 3 lb package, and I went for the cheapest shipping at $22.99. Some nice person here shared a link for a referral which I used, so bagged $10 off (and I think they get it too). So, excluding customs that is a total for £104 for four UHDs (including Kane) and a BD. (£112 if you ignore the referral code). |

My Stackry order arrived today, so that’s nine days using the cheapest shipping. Arrived customs free (actual value of US $125 declared). Total price was £104 for four UHDs and one BD - very happy!

Are there any issues ordering from https://www.kinolorber.com/ and Stackry? I've got a little pile in my cart.

On another note I took in a parcel for a friend who'll be away for a month or so and was terrified of it being just left on his doorstep and getting nicked and despite being a $250 order directly shipped from Deep Discount with dirt cheap shipping it managed to dodge the import, 'examination' and VAT charges he was expecting and arrive in a week. ![]() |

I started using Stackry when Kino stopped shipping orders to shipito and I've used them regularly since. No sales tax, though the dashboard they use takes a bit of getting used to.
Trying to resist the Kino sale in the interests of belt tightening (my grocery bills have gone up 25% this year and that's with ordering less) and shelf space (I'm trying to adopt a one in, one out policy but so far it's closer to three in, one out) but I'll probably weaken on the last day. Only two more weeks of going cold turkey... I can do it, honest. I don't need it, I can stop any time now, honest. It's just it's cold making me shake and the shaking making me sweat.... ![]() Last edited by Aclea; 04-06-2022 at 12:20 AM. |

I used stackry for the first time last month. Funnily enough not to buy discs but a new pair of cowboy boots. Am very impressed by the service and will definitely use them again.

They may have changed policy, but last year they wouldn't ship to Shipito because there were so many 'undelivered/not received' items that went astray. That may have changed when they moved warehouses and got new staff but I haven't used them since - unlike Shipito, Stackry don't charge sales tax

I had two Kino sales orders sent to Shipito last year, in October and December, and both went through without any issues, so I haven't experienced any problems between them at all. I really want to give Stackry a try next time, though. The sales tax thing is very tempting and also Shipito's fees for consolidation, extra protective packaging etc. have been on a rise. I am also considering using a freight forwarder service. Have you tried this? It's that thing were people sign up through a portal and you basically pay some private person, through that portal, to receive your package and pass it on. The people doing the forwarding are rated, like on Uber, so you can pick and choose between the highest rated. I have heard good things about it. |

The biggest limitation I'm currently finding is titles from Brazil, India or the Disney Movie Club or Film Movement in the US where even if you have a reshipping address their internet sites won't allow orders from outside their borders. |

Is it worth consolidating a single shipment? looking at the package it seems a bit beat up and Stackry have done a decent job repacking so far.
Not sure if they've opened it to inspect the contents (which I'd imagine is standard), it has a big pink sticker on the box. |

Hi Guys. Newbie round here from England.
So -- I've been studying this STACKRY thread for a few weeks now, & due to the latest round of price hikes (due to the Financial Crisis) I thought I would join STACKRY and see what happens. I cannot keep buying from Amazon UK. I need to switch to Amazon USA. (Especially for the new "A STAR IS BORN" bluray (1937). However, before I did that, I noticed the KINO SALE was on! Lots of titles going in the USA for only $9.99, so I joined STACKRY, and then began ordering. Before I knew it, I had GONE OVER £135 UK Pounds. So I made another STACKRY account with a different Email address, a different NAME (my partners name), and I made sure that I SPLIT the KINO SALE into two. My first KINO order came to $170 US Dollars, and the second KINO order came to $118 US Dollars. Both orders in different names, different Emails, different credit cards, different STACKRY accounts, Different STACKRY Box Numbers, (But the SAME UK Postal Address). First of all, do you guys think I will be okay regarding Tax and VAT etc? Because with the $170 order I am quite close at: £131.31 UK Pounds, so that is a bit worrying... I wish I'd split them more evenly dammit - but it was the VERY last day of the sale, and I was in a hurry! And also. Now I've DONE the order, and received the (two) Emails from KINO, what do I do next? Just sit back and do nothing??? Or do I INFORM STACKRY that an order is "on its way" ?? Sorry to be "thick" but I've never used a 3rd party before, so I'm on new territory here?? Or will STACKY email ME, once the blu-rays arrive in my x2 Box Numbers? Thanks very much in advance Guys David Alp (England) Last edited by David Alp; 04-22-2022 at 12:39 PM. Reason: to elongate the thread |

Stackry will email you once they have the parcel(s) and then you can consolidate them, choose shipping etc. Although for me, my Criterion order tracking showed it had arrived but they didn't process it until I chatted to them online. Fast and plane sailing after that.
As for customs, it seems that below £135 you should be OK (mine was $125), but there may be someone here who can chip in that they got caught. Nothing you can do about it though, other than keeping orders below the magic threshold! |

Choosing the cheapest option you get DHL which means it gets handled by Yodel once past customs, not sure on the other shipping options.
