Default 2000-2001 Acura Integra type R

Just curious if anyone else had owned one of these gems and their experiences....it was super fun to drive, ( despite only owning it for 8 months )...a little too much fun..

I haven't seen one on the road in a long time...

A guy that works at the Acura dealership drives a yellow one. If I'm lucky when I go in for service, I'll see him pull in. Otherwise, I never see them. Hell, you don't see any more Integras on the road these days and when you do, they are either beat up or they're 4-door type.

I had the yellow one...the car got me in so much trouble

The car was bone stock and I topped out at 149mph....scary though. I would get smoked by Mazda rx-7's and Supra's all the time on the highway...

One of my favorite cars of all time. It's so rare when I see one. But when I do, I stare....a lot.

I actually saw a 2000 or 2001 Type-R today in Phoenix Yellow. It was so beautiful. I wish I could have looked at it longer, but it was driving the other way. I've never driven one, but back in the day my friend had a 96 GS-R that he let me drive many times, and it was an absolute blast. So I could only imagine the pure bliss of driving a Type-R. Probably the best (handling) FWD sport compact ever made.

I always wanted one. I had a 1990 Acura Integra RS coupe (my favorite Integra body style) back in the day, with aftermarket headers, exhaust system, suspension, etc., the basic Fast & Furious package, lol.

The best thing I've ever driven was a 1990 Acura NSX. Only from the dealership I worked out to the gas station and back, but I still got to drive it.

I would love an Acura, gorgeous cars. Gotta wait till I have a much better paying job than any I've had so far. Next car will probably be a $14,000- young Civic. Despite what my father thinks, a 2014 Civic(might be a 2015 one instead) is looking pretty likely assuming I can find one at that price and hammer out a reasonable contract with that dealer's bank.

The NSX was an absolute masterpiece....it drove like a Ferrari for half the price. My friends dad has a modified '97 nsx....the beast is scary...

When I signed the paperwork( at dealership ) for the Type R I asked, " now the car is fast right? "

His response was cool....." the NSX is fast......The type R is quick "

....ahhhhh the good ole days...

My best friend at the time had a nice white gs-r and would taunt me all day long....Once I bought the yellow, and he took it for a spin on the highway, his exact words were-, " DAMN bro....this thing is like a fu$$kin rocket "

I'm surprised it would actually do 150 but I bet it took a good minute or so to get there... I used to be into hondas and imports in general back in the day and still like them when done right but that's the problem, hardly anyone does them right anymore... they are either beat to hell or have the wrong offset wheels and tires on them which I assume is supposed to be "cool"
