Edit : Subwoofer is working as well.
it's working as it should (have you read your manual?) the crossovers have nothing to do with audio codecs. in PCM anything more than 2 channels will show up as multichannel pcm or it might show LPCM depending on your receiver.

all of your questions are answered in your manual. you need to read it and get more familiar with your gear and it's capabilities.

again, it's working just as it should.

Very few discs have more than one English track. As explained in another thread of yours, early releases, before lossless codecs were widely available, often had PCM and DD 5.1. These days, discs rarely have choices. It's usually dts-MA and sometimes TrueHD.

The perfect example why we have lossless compression CODECs, take a look at the PCM track its 48/16 , now take a look at the Dolby TrueHD track its 48/24 and not dumbed down to save space.

Here's question for anyone that has the answer, How many PCM only blu-rays are 48/24 for a 5.1 or 7.1 track. (concert Blu-rays excluded)
I'd like to see a list if possible, because I'm pretty sure that there a lot more TrueHD and DTS HD-MA tracks that are 48/24 as opposed to being 48/16.

Not many, reason being, the extra storage required for 24-bit, does not justify a sound quality increase over 16-bit, also depends on the bit depth the track was recorded and mixed at, many tracks maybe upsampled when encoded to TrueHD or MA. A few off the top of my head:

Apocalypto
Kill Bill Vol.2 (US release)
No Country For Old Men (GER release)
Face/Off (UK release)
POTC 1,2 and 3 (US releases)

blu-raystats.com has filters where you can easily produce comprehensive lists of discs based on video and audio specs.

watching a DolbyTrueHD movie.... the sound is so much louder and dialouge is clear and much louder than DTS-HDMA tracks. For DTS-HDMA i have to crank up the volume (-40 to around -33) to hear the dialouge but explosions/action are loud.
TrueHD tracks sound perfect and balanced for me.
I have a Yamaha AV receiver and also a PC with wich I made some test tones in Dolby, DTS and PCM (also with DN -31 and DN -27 additionally for Dolby and DTS).
I have 5 main speakers for surround.

Here are the result I got:

Dolby 2.0 to 7.1 DN -31 are the loudest tracks

Dolby 2.0 to 7.1 DN -27, DTS 2.0 to 5.1 DN -31 and PCM 2.0 to 7.1 are all at the same level and 4 dB lower than Dolby 2.0 to 7.1 DN -31

DTS 7.1 DN -31 is 3 dB lower than DTS 5.1 DN -31, because of the downmix metadata

So, I get up to 7 dB of attenuation between a Dolby track with DN -31 and a DTS 7.1 track with DN -31
