If you enjoyed Hostel and Hostel II, you will most likely enjoy this movie.

This movie is twisted, but it's not gruesome. It has an amazing story and it's really my favorite movie of all time. Check it out fo SHO!

i fail to see the connection between the two , Hostel is a horror/gorefest

Oldboy is more of a dark mystery with some violent scenes but franky comparing it to hostel is apples to oranges.

Can you please confirm how many subtitle tracks are featured? The DVD had English and Spanish subtitles for the main movie.

And as Zyclone said, Oldboy has nothing to do with Hostel. Hostel is an extreme exploitation flick with precious little redeeming qualities. Oldboy is a superb revenge tale (with very disturbing images). It won the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

Thanks for the pointer. That's a nice review. My copy shipped from Amazon yesterday, and I'm anxious to take a look at it.

watched it last wkd Not bad PQ & SQ but expected better. MBS peaking out at about 30+. A lot of grain in the picture but it was filmed that way. Quite a good selection of extras with deleted scenes & commentarys the 2 disc set contains the film on standard dvd also, which is pretty shoddy compared to my Korean import in a beautiful special edition with great pq & sq & packaging. I had this before it even hit cinemas in the UK. Unfortunately i lent it to some ******* at work, & someone stole it from him. He paid for my BD as a replacement, end of the day i'd rather have my Import back......

think it is limited zone A (there is "1"zone symbol like for dvds)

for my thoughts...
maybe I anticipated this movie too much but PQ was not good as I hoped...
don t mean it is bad but... maybe could have been better. SQ is awesome!!
it's tarantan asia 1st try, movie choice was excellent! hope we'll get more movies now
