Speaking of Paramount, I know it's corny and was savaged by critics but I really have a soft spot for this one...

I love the story behind the plot (if you can actually call it that) and Wayne and Marvin look like they are having a blast. I could watch those 2 on screen together for hours...

Yeah, I want to see this one too. John Ford's last film with The Duke.

As a kid, DONOVAN'S REEF bored me to tears. I haven't seen it since, but I should probably revisit it as an adult.

As a kid, I didn't want to watch a movie with a bunch of adults sitting in a bar and drinking. Too much like real life.

It seems like there was more fighting than drinking in that film but I get your point. Stay away from Barfly (1987). While Faye Dunaway should have received an Oscar for her performance, that film made me want to shoot myself!

Donovan's Reef one of the most underrated Fords. It's almost like a Hawksian Jerry Lewis riff and its beautiful. need a remastered blu-ray

For those of us still holding out for a Region A "Alamo", the Kino Lorber thread revealed some information - nothing about a definite release, but Kino asked for it....

For anyone who hasn't bought the Olive Signature Edition of The Quiet Man (the definitive release of this film to date), now is the time. Deep Discount has included it in their BOGO sale that ends on the 28th...

This looks like a beautiful release with nice extras! I hope the PQ is good. I'm very happy to see another Duke film make it to blu for the first time. This will be mine!

I’ve always been happy with the print on my Warner Bros DVD, but this will be an easy upgrade decision for me. Been way too long since the last John Wayne release onto Blu-ray. I think the last one I purchased was The Sons Of Katie Elder, which was a complete disaster of a transfer by Paramount.

I didn't realize the upcoming release of The Long Voyage Home from Imprint is an Australian release ? Does that mean it would need to be imported here to the US? Is it region free or I need a region free player ?

One of my most wanted films on BD. With Paramount, Criterion, Shout, and Kino releasing Paramount films, you would think one of them would get this one out. One of the most bizarre missing films on the format.
