So I am about to start Kamen rider Zero one and noticed that reiwa movie, kangaroo, and throuser special arent included. Is there a legal place to watch them and if not how important are they?

Today in "might mean something, might mean nothing", Media Blasters' John Sirabella posted a very brief video with a tease that there might be something Kamen Rider-related at AnimeNJ+ in December.

Hopefully that doesn't mean we'll be waiting almost a full year -- and two years since the initial tease! -- for that '90s movie collection.

The most hated man in Tokusatsu World - YouTube

Today's video clarified that he was talking about bringing over a guest related to tokusatsu for the con.

Looks like we're getting Shin Ultraman and the Thailand monster movie The Lake on June 13th.

Side note, but is there plans to give Kamen Rider Dragon Knight a DVD or Blu-ray release in the US at all?

Was it's original footage even produced in HD? The Ryuki footage sure wasn't and Dragon Knight's still DVD-only in Japan.

Is there any word on a new Kamen Rider release from Shout Factory? I already know about Black and RX from Discotek. But I’m curious if Shout Factory has acquired any new riders. I know they got Ryuki back in early 2021 and Zero One in late 2021. They have been quiet since then. I bought all three Blu-ray’s they released

Their pattern (if you can call it that) is a new announcement following the release month of their current title. So we may hear about a new title next month. Or not. It's just something to look out for once leaks start popping up in a week or so.

Again, the only shows we know Shout has licensed for streaming is the original, Kuuga, Ryuki, Zero One + movie, and the Heisei Generations Forever movie. The only surprise we've gotten from the physical releases is the Ryuki movie.

I know with Ryuki Blu-ray they announced it three monthes after Kuuga got a Blu-ray. But ever since 2021 they have been so quiet on new KR it’s ridiculous. I felt like they should have at least one or two more riders under their belt by now. I’m not sure if they own the original’s physical rights but I feel Discotek will get them soon. It just seems the wait is becoming too long and we don’t even have the shows the toys Bandai advertises to us. Like KR Decade is about 30 episodes or less last I checked. And then three movies. That would be an easy project and would allow more fans to know the other Heisei riders even though they AR versions.

Good news - it looks like the retail edition of Abaranger is coming in May. We should have an official announcement tomorrow.

Bad news - unless it just didn't leak with everything else, no Kamen Rider on Shout Factory's menu for May.

Doesn't look that way. There was no reason to expect Shout to stick to a pattern. Perhaps they're preparing the original series and it just requires more time. We could still see a new site-exclusive Sentai release when they add their May slate to the site.

Although, if the leaks are coming from Bullmoose - they never listed Ryuki until after its release date. No idea why.

But are we going to get a new Sentai release. My original theory is that Abaranger and Fiveman were finished ages ago and Dekaranger is their first work on it since Fiveman released.

Personally, they should announce that at least own more Kamen Rider. They did it for Ryuki and 01. My main problem is we already got all this content AGES AGO except Episode Finales. Yes we are getting physical releases, but I feel like they are capable of both making a dvd they already translated and translating new series. I actually wonder if Discotek got the physical rights to the original considering how Toei sells rights. After they get done with this series, the question becomes…… “what next?” If they release the Heisei Generations Forever movie by itself, it’s kind of clear they have not been able to secure anymore Kamen Rider rights,

As far as I know, the leaks are from Bullmoose. All the titles from the leak that I've checked are listed on Bullmoose, anyway.

MifuneFan's method for uncovering titles on Bullmoose is different than the one I was using. I think he's looking at actual product listings. My workaround was based on images uploaded to Bullmoose's CDN, but they changed the naming convention; they used to base filenames on auto-incrementing IDs, but new images are now being tied to product IDs, and the images aren't necessarily being loaded early anymore. So it's a little more needle-in-a-haystack than it was up until a couple weeks ago.

My little script that looks for new Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman releases is still working, though, which is how I spotted Abaranger.

And yeah, very fair point about Ryuki (which my script got a ping about on 2/7, the day of release), and it's not the only title that didn't show up alongside early leaks on Bullmoose.

We might know more tomorrow, assuming a new Sentai release would be a temporary Shout exclusive. Anything that Shout is keeping for themselves won't show up in these retailer leaks. (And I haven't been keeping track to see when Shout has announced these relative to their other announcements, so radio silence on Sentai even tomorrow might not mean anything.) In theory, Turboranger or Magiranger will be next up.

IIRC, their earlier comments were that even if TokuSHOUTsu had licensed streaming rights didn't mean Shout had DVD/Blu-ray rights, and they made it sound as if any further Kamen Rider BDs would be dependent on the sales of Zero-One.

I can't remember the last time TokuSHOUTsu added a new series for streaming, but maybe there's just so much there already that they don't feel a need to keep feeding that beast outside of special events. No idea.

I dunno. I'm optimistic about Shout still being in the Kamen Rider business. But I'm also kind of expecting to not hear anything (outside of a convention panel or something, anyway) about greater plans for the franchise, and we'll just get the occasional announcement here and there.

Yeah I figure that Streaming rights does not equal physical rights. That’s why I assume even for OG KR we don’t know who owns the Physixal rights. Consider Kuuga and Ryuki got releases I presume Zero One did good and that’s with it not including Reiwa The First or the V-cinemas. The last series they added for streaming was Ryuki and Zero One in late 2021.. Not sure when Ultraman was added to be fair.

Personally I don’t expect anything outside of the OG and even that I am iffy on. I feel we won’t hear anything on KR until the summers. As far as Shout is concerned. Depending on how Discotek’s RX release is received I feel we will see Discotek take up more Showa series like OG and Amazon.

Personally we just need Heisei riders. We got Crunchyroll with Fuuto Pi and will probably get an English release but we don’t have Double officially in the West or UK. Shout has Heisei Generations Forever but we don’t even have ZIO or Decade for that matter.

Meanwhile, Korea and Vietnam are eating good when it comes to Reiwa content. Saber and Revice. Although, I don’t want Revice until the v-cinemas are out.

When TokuSHOUTsu started all they had were the Sentai Shows and a couple of Kamen Rider shows. They added some more KM and then made the streaming deal for Ultraman, which has been their primary source of new content since.

Frankly, TokuSHOUTsu has a lot of content. I don't check it frequently but 3/5 times I do it's Ultraman that is on, with the other times being either KM or Sentai. Shout may just not be interested in adding anything new to it. They have been using the channel to premier some of their other Asian films lately though, like Chiba and Jackie Chan.

But they could be interested in just licensing shows for physical release - if the sales for their past three titles have been good enough. We don't know. It's too early to say anything. They may already be working on a release and just needed more time. If a year goes by without any KM action from Shout, then we can probably say they're done with it.

There's plenty of Kamen Rider to go around. I'm glad Discotek is helping to fill the hole so we aren't just waiting on SF.

Yeah and I know currently they can’t add any new Sentai content which that is fair. And I fine with them just licensing physical releases. I just don’t want the next set to be OG. I do want the OG on physical it’s just there is so many other series that need to reach over here and OG already did via streaming. Like I said I feel it’ll be Summer before we hear anything. I also feel like Discotek being in the race via Toku Time will be good competition for Shout. I mean outside of releasing OG or Heisei Generations, all they can really do is announce a new rider or release a smaller set with all of the current Zero One extra content but it may be better for them to just wait till Outsiders is over.

Like I feel we will be on Reiwa Rider 10 before we even get all the Heisei riders
