On the one hand:

  • UV always seemed to have a clunky interface without the all-important app.
  • With Disney since acquiring studios such as Fox I imagine that all the Fox titles would also have vanished from UV
  • Amazon never joined UV
  • With Amazon since acquiring studios such as MGM I imagine that all the MGM titles would also have vanished from UV
.

On the other hand:
  • MGM was on UV with the James Bond movies and Pink Panther movies
  • Paramount was also on UV

I've given up on Paramount ever joining MA. but I expect MGM movies will once they are part of Amazon

My preferred retailer is iTunes , though I do have some of my old UV movies on Vudu.

To be honest since Wal-Mart has divested itself of Vudu I think Vudu's future is bleak. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Vudu went belly-up

Fandango bought VUDU. Are you aware of that? Fandango shut down their own store and made Vudu its primary store. Fandango been promoting Vudu and plans to make Vudu bigger in the future. Fandango is in the movie business so why would Vudu go belly up? I wouldn’t be surprised if google play stopped selling movies seeing how they stopped selling music and shut down the play movies app.
