They are very well made speakers, but they have their own distinct sound due to them using a "horn" design, some like it and some do not. You should be able to find a local hi-fi audio store near you and take a listen. They are rather popular and not all that hard to find.

If you like their sound, then you should be very happy. But your next question is if you will want external amplification (amps) to really open them up.

I see them at my local best buy, they look nice. Also can you put "grills" on them, I.e covers? or nah,

Sure, anyone who does not use grills does it more for the visual aspect, it should not affect the tonal quality of the sound.
