Anybody seeing watermarks on their 'Pyaar Impossible' or 'Rocket Singh' BD, please mention the exact chapter and time. Personally I am very curious to get to the bottom of this issue.

ok i found the problem, i went back to check the times and the watermarks weren't showing up so I remembered i watched it with the english subtitles on so i turned the subtitles on and went back to the songs and the watermarks showed up.

so the watermarks only show up when the subtitles on and i guess they aren't really watermarks since they can be turned off if the subtitles are off.

Weird implementation.

Since I don't need the sub-titles, this does not effect me personally, but even then, watermarks in any guise or implementation, are unacceptable. Although, got to give them credit for a very innovative implementation.

PS: I am editing my reviews to reflect this new found information.

ya it's better than what they were doing before, i don't mind it that much but i still don't see why they need to even do it.

Out of curiousity, I popped in the 'Pyaar Impossible' BD today to see the 'logos' for myself. Sure as hell, the 'Yash Raj logo' is very much present, when you have either of the English or Arabic sub-titles on. But, to add to the very strangeness of it all, the logo is present only before the '2nd' and '5th' songs.
Irrespective of how many times or how and when the logos appear, they are simply not acceptable. I would implore 'YRF - Home Entertainment' needs to make sure this practise is discontinued immediately. After all it is such a shame, that an otherwise excellent Blu-ray is marred by this very silly but obnoxious practise.

Even though I resisted, SWMBO borrowed the Pyaar Impossible BD from a friend of ours. After reading Sanjay's review yesterday I played the BD and watched some random scenes just before seeing DON.

I must say, I was hugely impressed by the PQ. The PQ is very punchy and most scenes look like they are just like watching photographs from a premium magazine. Terrific blacks, sharp and detailed presentation, nice colors(although bit boosted to create the typical YRF/Kjo stereotype) - overall a very clean and absorbing PQ.

I have not seen the movie yet and never wanted to see it but after getting a glimpse of the PQ, I would give this a watch tonight.

Just looking at few scenes, I am just thinking is Pyaar Impossible the best looking BD from bollywood in terms of PQ? Is it better than Ghajini, Saawariya and Jodhaa Akbar? Well need to compare them to draw a conclusion but as of now it seems like it is one of the top 3 in PQ and could be the top one as well.

Few things that bothered me (very minor niggles)
  1. Although black are perhaps the best I have seen from a bollywood BD (tie with Saawariya?), it seems to suffer a slight black crush loosing some shadow detail. I changed the gamma and it looked perfect.
  2. Slightly saturated color (but as I said it creates the effect intended for the film)

Kusos to YRF for producing such a fantastic BD . Now YRF have raised the expectation so much that I'll be very dissapointed if the other titles from them (at least the new ones) are not as good as this one.

Great suff YRF. Just for the PQ, I am going to watch the full movie today.

Personally, I rate the 'Pyaar Impossible' BD as the best Hindi movie BD released so far.

As I said, I felt similar from my limited viewing. Very Impressed. Do you know if this was shot on film or digital?

I only hope all new films to have the same quality. I would like to see 3 Idiots to be like this one.
