Three questions.

1. Any hope Warner Archive will reissue Volumes 1 and 2 of this series?

2. How many short in the Bugs Bunny collection are in the Platinum collections?

3. Is there a guide somewhere detailing where every Looney Tunes short was released to help prevent someone from buying collections that had shorts already included in the Blu-Ray releases as much as one can?

There is one cartoon on the original Vol. 1 set that will likely never see the light of day again, unless they do a collector's set of WWII cartoons with disclaimers: "Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips".

The 1944 short Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips. It was on initial pressings of the first volume of The Golden Age of Looney Tunes LaserDiscs, the VHS counterpart to the seventh side of that volume ("Bugs Bunny by Each Director"), and the VHS box set counterpart of the entire volume, but all of these were recalled (and, in the former's case, reissued with a different short in place of the offending short) in February 1995 following a complaint by the Japanese-American Citizens League.

^ so it would require another 4 Bluray volumes to completely make Golden collection redundant ?

Default Looney Tunes DVD Golden Collection

I am considering the purchase of the Golden Collection but I would like to have a better idea of what is included.
I am not very interested in old stuff, b/w to color cartoon, what's the ratio?
Are all the most famous color cartoons included?

First two volumes are entirely color cartoons except for Porky in Wackyland (1 out of 116). After that B&W cartoons become more common, but never make the bulk of the package. But, do give the B&W shorts a chance! Plenty of the best LT shorts are in B&W including one of my personal favorites Porky Pig's Feat.

I would guesstimate that 90-95% of the most iconic cartoons are included, but not every single iconic short (A Wild Hare probably being the biggest overall omission), so if you're looking for a specific short I would recommend looking around the web to see what's included in each volume.

Thank you.
jacksonwalker provided a very detailed list a few posts above but I don't know the shorts by the titles.
I will have to do some research.

Here's a good starting point:

Click the link under each decade to see a chronological list of the cartoons originally released that decade & where to find them now.

My copy of the Complete Golden Collection arrived a couple of days ago.
It was shipped in a cardboard box so it arrived undamaged from UK to Italy.
This was a pleasant surprise.
It's a very nice set but the spines of the cases annoy me with their uneven design.
I have watched only one short so far (Bugs vs. the bull) but to my most displease the Italian audio track (available on some of the discs) is not the one I recall, it was redubbed.
I would have liked very much to hear the old voices from my childhood.

They just yanked most of the Looney Tunes cartoons off HBOMax (everything between 1950 and 2004), and since Warner owns the rights to Looney Tunes, there's very little hope that they're going to turn up on another streaming service. Yet another sterling example of why Zaslav is a gigantic idiot and why physical media is so important.

So, now missing Volume 2 of these has moved up even higher on my list of regrettable purchasing decisions!!! Ah well. Maybe I'll have to get the DVDs, if they had a bunch of stuff that never made it to blu-ray anyway.

It's pretty ridiculous that something as universally known and beloved as Looney Tunes is now so hard to watch in HD. I think I'm going to scoop up the DVDs before they also become some comically rare commodity.

The Golden Collections are not rare at all you can easily find them on Amazon, Gruv, etc however the Blu-ray Platinum Collections are OOP

The Golden Collections are DVD only though, not BD, right? That's what I was saying, the HD versions are OOP and no longer on a streaming platform either.

Yes the Golden Collections are DVD only, but there are DVD versions of the Looney Tunes Platinum Collections as well: Volume One and Two only have the first two discs of the Blu-ray on DVD (missing the third disc with the special features and some additional shorts). Volume Three of the Platinum Collection only had two discs (in Blu-ray and DVD versions).

As someone who bought the Platinum Blus when they were in-print… are all of the Golden DVDs also necessary to have the most complete set available? Thank you in advance.

Yes -
There are dozens and dozens of cartoons that are only available on the various golden collection sets.

If you go back a few pages on this thread you’ll find such a list that you can use for your own reference.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. Golden isn't the only source for some titles. Pepe Le Pew DVD was selling for triple digits on Ebay at one point. Think it was just bots buying them up.
