Speaking of Never Hike Alone, they have another IndieGoGo campaign. Looks like they'll be expanding the NHA universe with quite a few upcoming short films. Part of the perks this round are more blu-rays of Never Hike Along for those that missed out. There's a little over 300 left. This will be much cheaper than going the eBay route.

My favorite part was seeing the original decapitated Mrs Voorhees head (still in great shape!) the OG Crystal lake sign from the movie, and meeting Tom Savini and Taso Stavrakis. Another cool thing was director Tom McLoughlin just showed up there in the morning, he wasn't scheduled to appear he was just in the area! Had some cool Jason Lives posters he was signing.

I highly recommend if anyone is able to go to the next event do it! the rich history of the camp is truly amazing thing to be apart of and the profits go to a great organization.

LOL, he "just happened" to be in the area where they filmed F13, and by a strange coincidence he had some Jason Lives posters with him.

Vudu and streaming services had the DC in HD.

i don't normally get too techincal when it comes to stuff like that, sorry for my bad spelling it's off tonight. but if you guys recall in that book from a few years back even the reviews said part 2 was a better shot film and you can i guess tell they had a bigger budget the 2nd time around. i love the locations they choose for the first four films and it's always made me laugh that really only 2 of the films actually have campers in them.

part one briefly and part 6 as we all know. so when i first saw part 6 as a kid that caught me by surprise to be honest

These artists do amazing jobs for these vinyl releases. Too bad these artists weren't hired to do the 5-8 dvd releases back in the day. That cover art would have been amazing.

Artwork reminds me a little of the part 6 novelization.

That's just the unrated cut. The dude above was referring to a supposed longer cut that the director's wanted to release for years - one that I doubt we'll ever see, sadly.

I wish the novelizations for 1-3 and 6 get re-printed along with new novelizations for 4-5 and 7-8.

I cannot believe these novelisations are still incomplete. Even harder to comprehend, The Final Chapter, has never been novelised.

I hope the camp stuff ends after the second or third episode and aliens abduct everybody or the lake ends up being a time travel vortex or something and the killer is really Bloodyface in a new suit and everything connects back to Asylum.

But if it does turn out to be generic slashery goodness, I'll take it. lol

The printing history is odd.
First came Part 3 by Michael Avallone (1982)- The writer just converts the script into a novel (no real embellishments) but it's interesting because it contains all the original ideas that were changed once filming began- like the original ending, and no hockey mask. I was lucky to score a mint copy of this on ebay a few years ago for around $40.
Next was Part 6 by Simon Hawke (1986)- Must have been a decent seller because his novelizations of 1-3 quickly followed. Simon did a really good job filling in gaps and plot holes that most fans debate about in a way that was most logical and true to the tone and themes of the series. Don't know why he stopped with 3. Presumably sales had slowed down. Would have been interesting to read his filling of the gaps from 4-6.

I wonder if the writer of Crystal Lake Memories would be willing to consider doing novelizations of 1-8 with fan support. I know I would buy all of them. I’m sure there is a market for them. Halloween 2018 got a novelization.
