I think they did an Amityville 3D.

They have made errors on the 3D titles they released, this one included. Another boutique who specializes in 3D presentations offered to help the producers at Scream. The producers declined the help.

That's something I thought seemed weird, too. I understand that they don't have a bottomless bank account to work with on their projects, but this is Friday the 13th. It's one of the biggest slasher franchises of all time, and if it's actually coming, it would likely be up there with the Halloween box set as one of the biggest releases on their slate. I'd think that, with the name value alone adding some sales, they could afford to spend more than the bare minimum.

I've never watched the 3D presentation, as I don't own a 3D TV, but I seem to recall a number of people claiming their 3D version was botched.

What kind of errors did they make with the 3D titles? Was it not 3D in places or wrong kind of 3D?

And maybe it's possible that Paramount is releasing F13 3 in proper 3D to coincide with Scream Factory's set. One can buy it separately or get the box set. Or maybe it'll be like Halloween 6: Producer's Cut where it was in the box set and released individually by Lionsgate/Miramax (or whatever studio had those rights) but they were slightly different in color shading/grading.

If I remember correctly, it used the wrong alignment causing the 3D effect to falter in some scenes.

Just saw this and all I can say is YES! I've woke up in a cold sweat remembering the time I could have gotten the tin set and passed on it. This shall be mine and it will be displayed lovingly beside my Halloween set.

Is this release from scream factory confirmed, or is it just speculation?

And please don’t everyone ask Scream on social media, they’ll deny it. Some special edition boutique releases have also been cancelled because of these “leaks.”

scream factory is alleged to have cancelled a release of sorority house massacre 2 and hard to die because jim wynorski leaked something to his facebook. that's all speculation though as i don't believe they ever went on record confirming this happened because why would they?

LOL they're not gonna cancel one of their biggest releases simply because it was leaked... how does that make any sense? They've already licensed the titles, they're not just gonna drop everything because oh someone ruined the surprise. Plus, I've never heard of a boutique label cancelling a planned release simply because the details were leaked to the public. They'd only be shooting themselves in the foot.

My belief right now is an announcement was planned for March 13th (a Friday) but was postponed due to the pandemic going on. If they already went through the trouble of producing new bonus features, it would be a damned shame for it to be completely cancelled because an actor broke NDA. That or the actor was instructed to make that post by Scream themselves to see how much interest it could spark online. Either way, this leak of information only stands to help with sales, they would be fools to scrap it now.

Wynorski claims they told him they canceled it because he leaked it. Keep in mind that Wynorski is a notorious B.S.er.

I'm sure there was a more pressing reason as to why it was cancelled.

That'd be pretty dumb to cancel over a "leak".

With no idea of what Scream's real side is in this story, I almost sold my Hard to Die dvd when Jim did post pics of some of the ladies from the film doing features (either commentary or interviews) on his facebook. Think that was about 2 years back now. Then that little gut voice said "don't do it, you'll regret it. If you could rip a dub it would be one thing, but without a backup do not get rid of that" (my dvd drive is DOA).
