Maybe they can release OG artwork steelbooks for each Paramount film as they all hit their 40th this decade.

I wouldn't be opposed to that, but that may be a conflict of interest if Scream Factory is making a huge box set. I think this Steelbook thing is a one and done type deal, at least until after the supposed Scream Factory release runs its course.

Got mine today at FYE for $17+ total. Love the poster art. Happy to always support my favorite horror franchise.

My local Best Buy had it. I was tempted to grab it, but as nice as it looks, I've already got the tin set of the whole series, which has the same disc inside, and I've been trying to spend some of my time currently furloughed from work going through my collection and paring down duplicates or redundant releases. Not to mention with the rumored box set looming, I'd rather wait and put my money toward that.

The German blu-rays have always looked a hair better than the US releases of these films due to slightly better grain/less DNR. Same masters. It's a small difference, but it would be nice if the new box set had less DNR like the German set, because why not? The US releases do look quite nice. Like I said, the German discs are just a hair better.

The Blu-ray.com review says the steelbook is a Best Buy exclusive. Umm...no it's not.

The Steelbook edition of the remake is a Best Buy exclusive, but not the original that Paramount just released.

It’s only $15. Figure you can sell the code for upwards of $5.
~10 bucks for an awesome looking collectible, trust me you’ll be kicking yourself if it sells out.

Not to mention the F13 shrine won’t be complete without it.

And finally, once you buy it the new set will get announced...making you the ultimate team player. Everybody wins!

You can literally get it for $15 at Best Buy. That is the cost of two Starbucks lattes or a Whopper meal at Burger King. I think I can go with one less Whooper for the Friday the 13th edition.

Watched Part IV yesterday. I just never warmed up to this one. It is good, but it just exists, IMO.

I've never gotten the huge love for it either. It's kind of dull and for being a "final chapter", kind of anti climatic. Give me part 3 and 6 over this any day.
