I am Just glad we are getting all of them on bluray. I am selling my 1-3 and Will just buy the box set. Even know I cant stand Freddy vs Jason or Jason X i might just try to sell those out of the box set when I get it and keep what I want.

I doubt this ever happens. But I would be first in line. Just too many different distributors...

Halloween - Anchor Bay/Trancas Int.
Halloween II - Universal/Scream Factory
Halloween 3 - Universal/Scream Factory
Halloween 4 - Anchor Bay/Trancas Int.
Halloween 5 - Anchor Bay/Trancas Int.
Halloween 6 - Miramax/Echo Bridge
Halloween H20 - Miramax/Echo Bridge
Halloween: Resurrection - Miramax/Echo Bridge
Halloween (r.) - Sony / Dimension
Halloween 2 (r.) - Sony / Dimension

why do you need a box set though, every one of those titles has a great release on some sort of blu-ray, between US and CA?

What price tag? I haven't seen any mention of pricing yet.

I think 5 is good, but my favorite is Jason Takes Manhattan, with a tie between it and 4. 5 closely follows.... I feel like Im announcing a horse race

I adore the packaging, so Im game. Ive bought these movies (or rebought) multiple times, so I dont mind doing it again. But it is a little steep, could be much worse though. And I like the movies... so why not.

$129.95 is just the SRP. SRP means suggested retail price. There is no way retailers will charge that price when this set actually comes out. I'm guessing the set will be somewhere around $100 when it comes out. The only retailer I could see charging the SRP is Barnes & Noble.

Jason doesn't so much 'take' Manhattan as briefly borrow an extremely small and inconsequential part of it and then return it relatively unharmed.

Can't beat hearing "Darkest Side of The Night" by Metropolis open up Jason Takes Manhattan. Sure as hell want to hear that in DTS HD!

Jason takes a boat.
Lol. Wasn't much more of it supposed to be set there than made it into the film?

Is it strange that I actually enjoy the pre-Manhattan stuff better? I really think that's what made me like the film when I was very young. But who can forget the scene where Jason looks up and you realize he's in Times Square!

Is this a normal size box set? Will it fit nicely on a shelf with my other blu's?

Of the releases already out only the original went over the 25GB limit of a single layered blu-ray and II with it's fantastic picture was 23.2 GB, so as long as each disk allots at least 20 GB to the feature I think the picture on the 2-in-one disks will hold up to the standards of the releases already out. The picture quality on HDNet movies was amazing for broadcast hd so they will translate much better than the ANOES films. The only disk I'd worry about is VII/VIII as Manhattan is 100 minutes, and it seems they are dedicating most supplements to the final disk so I wouldn't worry at all really (plus VII is only 88 minutes). I just hope they seamlessly branch the JGTH theatrical and uncut versions and have 3 in real 3-D as well as a non red/white tinged 2-D version.

Amazing news though and a perfect complement to the Crystal Lake Memories documentary feature.

Well apparently the set doesn't have any glasses with it because none are shown so, that leads me to believe Part 3 is 2D only or may be Blu-ray 3D.

The package is nice, but like someone else asked, I want to know if it will be the same size as other BD cases? I don't like having stuff stick out, and the way the disc are held in... not a fan. Still, a must have though.
