Whether or not I this will depend on the packaging for me as if the set comes with some cardboard type holder then I'll wait (and hope) for individual releases as I only want 4-8 plus Jason GTH and Jason X
That is pretty much how I feel Minus the Jason X as I could care less for that. I just want 4-8 and Jason GTH.

What are your folks going on about? The WB acquisition of F13 movies thread was one of the most active on here with people clamoring in anticipation. Now, the release has been announced and party poopers barge in here to say they won't buy it because it has xyz movie in it, that all they ever really wanted was just a standalone F13 35 release, or some other issue that is secondary compared to the point... we are getting all the Friday the 13th movies in high definition after years of requests, embarassing begging, and desparate threats that took an unlikely compromise between two major studios to get.

I'll end up with two copies of lukewarm installments like Freddy Versus Jason as well as the Friday the 13remake; but I don't care... incluiding everything avaliable in one set is the best way to shoot for as definitive a collection as possible for a worthy franchise.

What puzzles me is the Warner is releasing a pretty decent set (on paper) of the F13th series but released a lame (compared to this) set of their own New Line's NoES

I am with you on this. Seriously, who cares if it has Freddy vs. Jason in it? Would you not buy it because it has Freddy vs. Jason in it, even if you like all of the rest of them? That is stupid. Some people just like to sit around like little old ladies and complain.

Me, I can't WAIT for this set! My all time favorite movie franchise is getting the treatment it deserves!

Agreed! Be thankful that this box set has ALL the films in the franchise unlike DVD where you had just the first eight Paramount titles. If they had done that here, then you'd have people grumbling about having to buy the other four individually. Also, in contrast to what people on here are complaining about, I actually liked Freddy Vs Jason and the remake and disliked Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X but I don't mind having them in my collection anyway. So just because YOU may not like a particular title, doesn't mean it should be excluded because other people actually enjoy having a comprehensive set.

Man...another F13th box set with movies doubled up on discs. Its better than not having parts 4 and 5 on Blu I suppose.

It doesn't bother me that FvsJ is included. I own the remake but had it not been included here I probably wouldn't have even bought it. I think in a way Warner just wanted to give us the most complete set. I'm not gonna complain at all.

That is exactly what this set is. It is a COMPLETE set. The Friday the 13th franchise is one of those film series has parts that some people like and parts that some people do not like. Personally I like them all, but not everyone does. This set is intended to be the complete set with EVERY film in the series in it. This set is probably going to be the set to retire Friday the 13th home video box sets for a LONG TIME.

Crossing fingers.

Please let this be included in the special features (or even a interview with Alice)

This is definitely a Day one purchase for me. Added awesome points for being released ON Friday the 13th!

I am happy that F13 is getting the blu ray treatment, I really am...but I am ENRAGED that they are putting 2 films on one blu ray disc!!! I may pick this up if the price is fair but man, I should be way more excited for this and quite frankly, I am not....no unrated versions except for part 1...and 2 films on one blu ray...

My obsessive compulsive tendencies are triggered by the whole "12 films in this complete Friday the 13th set", but that's just my own insanity.

I think that this looks pretty awesome, even if the first two movies are still the main attraction for me.
