Exactly. We know darn well Paramount didn't take good care of these films in the first place, so why people think perfect unrated cuts are out there is beyond me.

I think the deleted footage on the DVD box set is the best people will get. And most of that was pretty poor.

Another issue is that the actors seem to have bad memories and throw out scenes they THINK were filmed, hence fans seem to think it's all in a backroom at Paramount.

Like the ending to Part 3. Most of the crew swear it was never filmed, but half the cast says it was. You can't win that way.

Also I realize that it is very unlikely we will ever get the uncut versions but I would have expected that at least some of the movies where there is some usable footage left to be put into the movies such as Part 6. Lastly, I know that it is a risk for the film companies but I bet that if Warner or Paramount set up some kind of search party to look through the film archives and found some more F13 cut scenes they could charge the world for it and us F13 fans would pay it...............I think at the end of the day, the uncut versions are at the top of the list of most F13 fans and I think the film studios should at least make an effort to try and find the footage............if there is nothing to find then oh well but at least look!!!!!!!!!!!
As for this boxset, I'll just buy the individual movies as they come out as I already have 1-3 and I absolutely refuse to spend any money on that abomination Jason goes to hell.
Daniel Farrands already looked 4 years ago and got all there was to get. Thus, being on the Deluxe Edition DVD that came out 4 years ago. There is a NEW 7 HOUR DOCUMENTARY coming in August. WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO GET? OMG this is getting old.

Can't wait to get the 7 hour documentary. I loved the little Q and A's on the new discs.

$116 is indeed a over inflated price for this box set .
However unless you are a major fan of these movies or have no patience then i understand the sense of urgency to buy them.
If not then wait as we all know it will come down in price, if not within a few months but definetly in the black friday sales.

Thumbs down

Or I'll just enjoy my DVDs. See THIS is another thing that puts people off of buying this stuff these days. I own three copies of the first four, and part 6, and two copies of 5, 7, and 8, and one of the rest.

If they want me to continue to buy the same film over and over again, at least don't insult my intelligence with that price tag. This would have been my 4th copy of a few of them, but I'm not going to waste the money.

The SRP for this set is $129.95. Amazon could've charged that instead of $116. You should've pre-ordered it when it was around $90. You've been posting in this thread, so I know you know about it.
I seriously think people complain just for the sake of complaining.

Tried to watch then extended ad uncut version of Part 7. The new gore scenes are great, but the quality is beyond terrible. Didn't have any fun that way. As much as it hurts, I'll just stick with my official R rated version.

And you claim to be such a massive fan of the franchise

For god sake, its still a good price at $116, its just over $9 a movie and I bet if these where released stand alone, they would be more than that. And as mentioned before, you had plenty of time to pre-order while it was cheaper, so you have no one to blame but yourself.

Oh and its hardly Warners fault if you choose to buy several different editions for this franchise.

Thankfully I pre-ordered. But in all honesty, I still would have bought this set at $116, because as I said before, I paid $100 for the first DVD editions of the original four films alone so this price is a no brainer for twelve films on Blu-Ray (Yes, I know I already own five of those twelve on BD and all of them on DVD still.)

This will easily be under $100 on release day and probably in the $70-$80 region later this year, so I don't know what all of the complaining is about. That's way under $10 a piece per movie, plus a bonus disc.

I'm still buying no matter what. I already sold the four Friday blus I had and I will be putting that money towards the set, and I'm sure it will be a decent price for the first week.

Oh people complaining about the lack of bonus features...really?! With Crystal Lake Memories coming out I think 7 (or 11 ) hours is more than enough.

Agreed! Amazon always does that. They come out with a price, a few days later they jack it up sky high but right before release date they lower it significantly. I would be greatly surprised if the finial price on release day is not lower then the $90.97 that Amazon originally set when first was available to pre-order.

I am thinking this set will be around $75.00 to $79.99 when released which is a steal and definitely well worth it!
