The price of this set needs to drop already.

And why isn't it in stock at Amazon? Has the discs being scratched been fixed? From reading this thread, it seems the disc scratching happens before they are put in the set.

Not only the disc scratching, but Amazon has probably packed it poorly for some people, resulting in dented tins.

I know this is a long-shot, but if anyone has download codes for this set they are not using & willing to share, please PM me. I am in the UK and we are never going to get a complete collection box. Thanks in advance!

Your request is really only a long shot because you're asking about it now. There was a large crowd of us (myself included) that sold off our codes when the set first came out. I'd think that the odd's are good that if you ask enough and look around long enough you'll find someone on here that still has the codes and are willing to sell them.

Was this set supposed to include 3d glasses for part 3? Because mine didn't.

Grabbed it at Best Buy around Halloween. 2 discs have scratches and there are skips at some parts. Pretty disappointing considering the price, never had this problem with blus before.

So is this Collection OOP now? I want it but not for $100. I have the DVD set but I definitely want the BR set as well. Waiting on this and the Halloween set to drop (I honestly don't think either will happen). $50-60 sounds good. Got the NOES set for crazy cheap, I know that it was sort of a budget pack and these 2 sets are much nicer so I do expect them to be more expensive.

I said it way earlier in this thread (lol) but i still feel very strongly if you are thinking about buying this set ... do it now. I have no idea if it's out of print or not but the current price seems to dictate to me it isn't being mass produced and will more than likely be harder to find as time goes on. This isn't a Back to the Future or the Godfather kind of set; eventually Warner Bros. will move on (if they haven't already) to other projects and Friday the 13th will be left in the dust until a good amount of time passes (could be years u never know when it comes to this franchise) and it's resurrected. If you can find this in the $70-$80 range i would move on it. I picked this up when it was released and have gone thru all the films at least 2-3x already. A definite must have for F13 fans.

Nice bit of PR. Reminds me of Del Boy trying to hawk Russian camcorders to old ladies in Peckham's open air market.

Makes me wonder if you're selling these on amazon. I never get it when folks tell others to buy a release because "they think" it might be OOP. Anyways, this set blows so I don't know why anyone would pay that high. It isn't worth more that 30 bucks if you don't already have the films on dvd. Nothing worthwhile over past releases and lousy transfers. Wait for the 4k release but I'm sure Paramount will release another crappy set

I doubt it's going OOP. Amazon has been pulling copies and putting them back up for a while now. "Product under review" type shit....

I'm hoping we'll see a sale with Friday the 13th coming up this Feb. I refuse to pay more than $50 for this set.

This is exactly what is happening. They do it all the time on products with crappy packaging that damages the discs.

I agree with what you say. The Friday The 13th Collection and the Halloween Collection are both limited time deals because the various films in each series are owned by different companies (Halloween especially).

It is a set that shouldn't cost you more than $50 though. But its rarely moved from its $100 price tag.

It's also frustrating that Amazon barely sells them and there's a widespread disc-scratching problem that may not have anything to do with its cheap cardboard packaging. It's frustrating that the discs aren't in holders like normal packaging. From what I have gathered, the packaging isn't the problem.

I'm still waiting for this set to drop at close to half-price. I'm the sort that collects movies and games with no intention of watching/playing them any time soon. I have so many other things to do and watch. These films just aren't on my To Watch list anytime soon. I love this series immensely though.

This set seems to be a nightmare:

Price stays high.
Discs are reportedly scratched and have skipping problems.
Hard to buy from Amazon themselves.
Price is too frickin' high.
