Exactly!
I've got, probably, over 100 releases in my collection with this type of packaging with not even the slightest blemish on any disc.
Now I've got over 1000 plastic hub cases that have cracked or broken during shipment, or had a disc dislodge that definitely sport some blemishes.

I've watched the movies a couple of times now and extras, not a single scratch on any disc.

The first Friday set I bought had so many scratches on every disc that it looked like they had been swiped across pavement. I swear to God. I couldn't believe it. The packaging was mint, even the tin, but the discs... forget about it! I finally got all mint discs, after I exchanged it and then got the double features to go with it! I'm just glad that the double features are exactly the same discs as the boxset discs. I'd hate to have some of them looking different than some of the others. Safe to say that I don't house my discs in the sleeves, I put all of them in standard cases. PSH!

if anyone has scratched discs instead on trashing them
ebay sellers offer pro resurfacing very cheap
they use pro machines like blockbuster had, when you get the disc back it looks same as new
very fast turn around

im am not partnered with any ebay person. this is just my advice

I just got the Omen set today and 2 of the disc's had marks on them, but it wiped right off.
This is a Blu-ray disc that I took a screwdriver to about a year ago, just for the sake of trying to scratch it. I didn't lightly drag the screwdriver across it, but I did apply very, very little pressure.

With that said, my Friday set had some scratched discs, not all of my discs, but three of them had minor surface scratches. I've got over 300 Blu-rays and have never had a scratched one, so to me, there was obviously some kind of problem with this set. Some people do nitpick to ridiculous degrees, but with the amount of people who have posted here and said they've had scratched discs, there's clearly something going on with the packaging.

Go look at my collection. Alien Anthology, Friday the 13th Complete Collection, Star Wars Complete Saga, Universal Monsters, and more. I have never once received a scratched Blu-ray in a factory sealed set. Not once. Not even floaters. So stop playing floor hockey with your discs.

The catch?

They can't be found anywhere.

There currently are some peanuts posting in this thread I see.

I grabbed one of the 3 sets I own and decided to takes some photos of some of the scratches on the bottom of the 10 discs:

[Show spoiler]

All 3 sets I own arrived in similar condition despite being brand new. I have always maintained that the packaging isn't the issue, at least from consumer use, however there certainly has been some major quality control issues with this set. Clearly not everyone has experienced this, though if you refuse to believe that others have, and continue to tell members that are thinking about purchasing this set that they have nothing to worry about, then you're a knob.

Have a hyperhidrosis disorder with my hands:

So I generally wear gloves when I handle my discs.

I really want to get this set, especially since its on sale at Best Buy. Does anyone know how long Best Buy's Halloween sale will last?

I got tired of f*cking with this set and sold it off. Hopefully whoever buys my used copy from FYE has better luck than I did. Discs would work fine one time and then the next they would freeze or completely lock up due to new scratches. I will just have to be content with the digital copies on Vudu.

Also I don't give a shit if you believe my discs became scratched from the sleeves or not.

I sold off my set along time ago also. Hoping to get the Double packs because I just wanted parts 1-8. Well on September 10th I ordered them from WB shop and they charged my credit card so I thought I would be getting them. Well they never shipped so I call WB shop and they say it was a glitch in their system that they charged me and that the double features are on back order for god knows how long. They have no clue when the Double Packs will even be available again. So I had them refund my payment. It shouldn't be this hard to get some damn Friday The 13th movies in some decent packaging.

No, only some do from what I have tested. Though this doesn't mean much, as I haven't tested them all in more than one player. I have found that discs with scratches sometimes playback without any issues in one player but not another.

Do you have a local FYE store, if so, they seem to carry these in store. I bought them there about 6 days ago. $14.99 each. (see my post a few pages back. Page 597. I even up'd a pic.)

I'm wondering the same. Kind of odd that they released the Paramount entries they have the rights to distribute currently but wouldn't release the two that they own at the same time.
