I agree about My Bloody Valentine in 3D. I saw it in the theatres and it is still one of the better 3D films released so far since the new wave of 3D films hit Hollywood. In fact, I just ordered it from Amazon the other day. Be warned - it was originally released on blu-ray in green/purple anaglyph format, before they re-released it in the proper blu-ray 3D format. For those who order it, be sure to get the right 3D version. It's the one that doesn't come with glasses and has the blu-ray 3D logo.

See, some studios do learn - they originally released it in anaglyph and re-released it in full blu-ray 3D.
Agreed. I'm sure a legit 3D edition would be leaps and bounds better.

I just ordered MBV 3D as well. I actually have the anaglithic version but I wanted to get the new 3D version, and at $9.74, I couldn't pass it up.

Yeah, I keep looking for it in stores, but all I ever see is the analgyph version. When I heard the other day the blu-ray 3D version was on sale for under $10, I had to order it. Between the excellent 3D and Tom Atkins, it sort of feels like an old 80's throwback actually. With all the mention earlier about current horror films not working so well, I feel that one managed to succeed pretty well with what it was trying to do.

It's really too obscure of a franchise for them to spend all the money on a new 3-D transfer or worry about if JGTH is uncut or not. I don't know why everyone is rocking the boat when they are releasing this as a favor to us. They did not have to do this as there is no money to be made. How many people even know who Jason Voorhees is? Exactly - not very many. His name has died out along with big chew gum and parachute pants. If you keep complaining, they might just not release it at all since the fan base isn't even big enough for them to make their money back on manufacturing costs alone. Again, there isn't much interest in this box set and there wasn't really much of a demand for it before they announced it. There would need to be an incentive for them to make sure it's definitive and quite frankly, the audience just isn't there. So I say to you if you don't get JGTH uncut, just smile and thank the Lord that you at least got to see the rated version in HD as WB has blessed us ALL with this release.

Can I get a hallelujah up in here!

im a fan of Jason goes to hell uncut and I could care less about 3D. will I be bummed if there is no part 9 uncut? yeah but ill get over it and still buy the set. im still happy to be getting 4-10 and FvJ and the remake none of which I own. paramount wasn't going to release these movies so yeah we are kind of lucky that this is getting released at all

Yes, because 3-D is the way we want it. Nevermind that's how it was released. I haven't seen anyone crying about the price. I think people are complaining about a cheap cash grab on WB's part. It is cheap for them to not go the extra mile, especially when there are those who WOULD pay for it.

everyone here is entitled to share their opinions. if a bunch of people are prepared to discuss how pissed off they are bc there is no 3D then they better be prepared to hear the other side of the argument. it sounds like what the 3D people want is to be able to sit around and complain about no 3D but not have to listen to anyone who doesn't give a crap.

It makes sense when people complain because they care. It doesn't make too much sense when those complain because they don't care or simply rejoice at the fact that some people aren't happy.

But what are you willing to pay for it? $40, $50 or $75? Because honestly, the market is so limited for Friday the 13th Pt 3 in 3D, specifically the current 3D BD standard, it would never pay for itself.

I'd rather read that than 50 more pages of babies complaining about this set not having the real 3D.

Day 1 buy for me. Or if anybody wants to send this as a gift for my birthday (which is 3 days after this releases), I'd gladly receive it

delighted that the r rated cut will be the only cut of jgth. could do without the slicing in half tent scene and the rest doesnt add anything to the movie

also, the goof in the slicing scene really annoys me

[Show spoiler]

So, the comment on The Bits about 11 hours of new features is just plain old bunk?

Yeah, I hope Scream Factory doesn't file for bankruptcy after releasing the Amityville boxset. Having the Creature From The Black Lagoon in 3-D on the Universal Monsters boxset caused them to not even make a profit on the release.

These excuses you make up for the companies to short change the consumer are hilarious!

Whoever wrote that was probably just being lazy or wasn't paying attention...the initial announcement said "11 hours of previously released special features".

The movie run times are printed on the sellsheet if you can make out the small print. http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releas...ollection.html
