Just cut my netflix back to the basic version lowest tier option.

If they add ads I will drop them.

On D+, I liked Turning Red. Still haven't made time for Eternals, Hawkeye or Encanto.

Good to hear. I still buy the CD's for my favorite bands if only to give them better revenue than what streaming offers them.

Apple Music pays the artists much more than Spotify.
(The one thing I liked better about Spotify is they would tell you if someone was on tour ... I guess that matters a lot less now.)

I agree with trying to reward the artist. I have to balance that with the fun of getting a good deal sometimes.

I like to collect everything by my favorite band but sometimes I can't go for a re-release of something I already have.

Wow, ... Right on Topic the App Vanced is being shut down. I never heard of it but it was for removing ads from free youtube and mostly used by people to setup free music service. It's so sad people can't keep stealing stuff. I expect CD sales to rise once the reality sets in.

I really enjoy purchasing CDs alongside my movie discs, I feel like they breathe life to the music I adore listening to. Although I admit a large portion of my new additions in the past few years have been movie soundtracks, and I also accept and welcome high-quality FLAC downloads, equally or higher specced than CDs, just as much. Heck, one of my brightest moments from last year was learning that the DLC soundtracks for some of my favorite Steam games have been upgraded to CD-quality FLAC! :insert as many celebratory emoticons as humanely possible:

I am considering buying SACDs for the first time. Can anyone recommend a good website to buy them from? Amazon lumps everything together making a search for SACDs there a pain in the patootie.

That's a pretty big jump...albeit from a small number to begin with. I'm glad to see it, though.

I don’t think they will ever remove the ad-free version regardless.

I have only 1 SACD which is Dark Side of the Moon. I think I bought it at Fry's when it was released.

I appreciate your concern with Amazon though sometimes the UHD discs say Blu Ray in the description and makes ya wonder what you will get.

Their customer reviews are even worse as Amazon combines entirely different models, sizes, formats and editions rendering their review section worthless.

I just don't like mad reviews from people who bought the wrong item. Though they can be amusing to read.

Whenever my sister "accidentally" orders a disc from a different region, she expects me to fix it for her. While I can do this, it has become rather tedious. My solution was to order two region free blu-ray players from 220 Electronics; one for her so that I no longer have to correct her little "mistakes" and one for my other TV.

I ordered a couple of modified Sony BDP-S6700s and they are due to arrive today. This is my first order from 220 Electronics and I hope that I am happy with both them and my choice of player.

Good to see you back!

You can select SACD from Acousticsound. I still get their catalog as I have purchased a solid amount of my vinyl from them. Can be pricey at times though.

I was thinking about picking up the same player from them. Let me know what your thoughts are.

Well, while these are known to be capable blu-ray players, they are not known for their build quality. Both players shipped together in a package weighing only 8 pounds total.

Older Sony BDP were awesome.

I wish newer players worked as reliably.

Be warned, it is not a Oppo or Sony 800 or 1000 in terms of speed of operation. Not that it matters but the streaming apps work slower than your Roku and the other Sony's mentioned.

These are just for playing the occasional Region 2/ Region B disc. Even so, my sister's Sony BDP-S6500, another feather weight player, has been very good and very reliable; I bought it for her birthday several years ago and it is still working just fine.

I really enjoy my Roku when I do decide to stream something. I haven't used the streaming apps on a blu-ray player in forever and a day.

MoFi is the best site for SACD's. Been buying from them for years
