Really stoked to see PREY tomorrow night!
I’m talking big budget films you realise?

Good luck with the scan by the way.

Any film with a budget over 100 million. It’s not a sustainable model. We need theatrical.

No argument there. We absolutely need theatrical....and of course, physical disc..

But once the streaming services finish thrashing this out and dwindle down to 2 or 3 major players, there absolutely is a market for people willing to pay a PREMIUM to watch from home...and that will include a few $100 million budget films a year backed by theses services...AND theatrically released big budget movies that find their way on to PVOD once they experience the large week over week drop off at the box office.

I can't wait to see ELVIS in a couple of days and expect an announcement on NOPE sooner than expected!

The model is fluid, and it is in the process of a major upheaval but when it shakes out, it will include multiple methods of distribution to maximize profits on each individual title based on it's quality and audience.

As long as theatrical is around, yes. Otherwise, the market would change drastically.

I agree about the market. Three majors and maybe the winners from the free ad-supported. Most people will pay for two, fewer will pay for three but enough to keep it going. B

That’s presuming the UK doesn’t go back to Victorian times where we live by candlelight. Winter is going to be brutal and it’s hard to believe we are a developed country. Our government should be ashamed.

I'm seriously considering packing in going into work today to see this, rather than coming home late and tired where I risk falling asleep... 😴

After much monkeying around with memory BIOS settings, I think my new computer build is finally stable. I have reinstalled everything and I still have 5.9 TB of SSD storage space available. It will be awhile before I can test every single program, but I am hopeful that most, if not all, of them will work as they should.

Now I can get back to my main hobby: watching movies.

I enjoyed it without ads on my neighbor's Hulu with Live TV plan. I would have blind bought the UHD BD.

If the movie is as good as the early hype indicates, this will certainly get a physical release.... probably to hype another sequel ahead of it's theatrical release...

Really like what I’m hearing so far (no spoilers). Sounds like a return to form.

Likewise. It does say it was mixed in Dolby Atmos but we only get a standard 5.1 soundtrack here. I would settle for a BD with Atmos if all else fails.

It would actually really irritate me if the first good sequel/prequel was a ongoing digital exclusive.

Hopefully it drops before end of year.

We better all buy our new gadgets in the next few months guys, before China blocks the microchip plants in Taiwan.

I guess I built my new computer just in time then.

I'm not worried. Alfred E. Neuman taught me how not to.
