Never asked him, lol. I suppose it has to, if the world is shifting to mobile.

No, not hints or suggests or implies.

Can you quote a 'leading tech journalist' who actually says people are going to stop watching TVs?

Well, it doesn’t say people will switch between them. It says shift. It speaks for itself imo. When you shift house, do you still live in your old house?

So that's a no then? You can't quote a leading tech journalist who says people are going to stop watching TVs?

Cool.

No, you can not; it's against the rules.

I even prefer to watch my youtube short subject videos on my TV. I am one of those Luddites who primarily uses his cell phone to make *shudder* phone calls. I do like how my phone chimes when I get an email, usually a shipping notice from Amazon. I really like how it goes bananas when there is a severe weather warning, too.

I enjoy posts from both of you, but I just have no fears for the future of either movies or TVs. No matter which way the wind blows at a given moment, there will always be a desire for movies and big awesome TVs and/ or projectors to watch them with. I have confirmed this with the highest authority: my Magic 8 ball; it is indisputable.

I dedicate this music video to you:

Like I said, imo I just did.

Answer me this, if people are shifting to mobile, what are they shifting from?

Trying using the "shift" key when you type them.

No, seriously though. You misunderstand. I picked a emoji from the right hand screen and clicked on it. It’s worked fine for years but for some reason it won’t show as intended.

Oh dear, I have to get a shift on.

Yep, your humour bypassed me and I’m going to blame it on the late hours and call it a night!

They mustn’t care about the movie much in the first place?

Look, this is a undeniable movement and I warned everyone on here of it several years ago and have been doing so constantly. Everyone who has jumped on the digital bandwagon has simply accelerated this process by a few years. Convenience in the present will lead to this smartphone landscape in the future. 5G will only increase content on mobile. Boy!, will it increase it.

Expect a crap load of skinny bundles to be mobile only from now on as all the wireless carriers compete. Free Netflix but mobile only if you use one particular carrier, HBO if you use another, various tv channels for free if you use a different one. The temptation will be for people to just go mobile as it will be far cheaper, even if they pay for unlimited wireless mobile.
A knock on effect to that will be, over time, we will see the shortening of content to fit a mobile lifestyle.

The only reason I haven't entirely switched to VUDU is because rentals are $5.99 for HDX. A Blu-ray rental at Redbox is $2.

Yes, and it’s people like yourself that are just going to hurry this process along my friend. If you are fine with watching blockbusters on a tiny phone screen for good, knock yourself out though. Hey, it’s convenient right?

I'm curious if you could do a side-by-side comparison of VUDU HDX and the same movie on 1080P Blu-ray. I found a comparison done here - http://www.avsforum.com/forum/39-net...vs-amazon.html between Blu-ray, iTunes 1080P/720P, Amazon and VUDU. In a lot of these comparisons, VUDU HDX actually performs really well. Now sure with a good display it isn't going to be Blu-ray picture quality, but it does look very good for being a cloud copy. And you save disc space by not having the disc. VUDU would be my chosen system as it works across all my devices (desktop PC, laptop PC, Xbox One S, Amazon Fire tablet, iPhone).
