The A Clockwork Orange UCE is listed on Warner Shop U.K. for £35 but with a plastic case not steelbook.
https://shop.warnerbros.co.uk/a-cloc...-ultra-hd-1971 So it looks like the steelbook is the only exclusive part of the Zavvi UCE exclusive. Bonus disc and all the swag is widely available elsewhere as the standard version isn’t listed as Warner Shop exclusive so expect to see at Amazon, HMV, ES etc. |

I made two orders with Zavvi in July, they were dispatched on July 22 and 26, 6 articles in separate deliveries, judging from the dispatch mails.
Today the first box-set has arrived, sent from Guernsey, without customs charges for me. The CN22 customs declaration looks like always, declared value £29.99, but there is an IOSS logo under the address field. So it seems Zavvi has registered for IOSS and goods under 150€ will have pre-paid EU VAT. It will be interesting to see how the other 5 items fare. My second Eureka order got held up by customs although it was supposed to have pre-paid VAT as well - I'll have to see what the problem might be... |

jup can confirm that packages from Zavvi now have a IOSS stamp on them (ie Zavvi paid up VAT through IOSS), looks like they got their act together. Fingers crossed for 2 more packages wich will come in this week (to the Netherlands)

The last of my 6 Zavvi packages arrived on Saturday. I can't complain: all without customs hassle as IOSS-deliveries from Guernsey, the single-disc items in the usual white envelopes, the box-sets in brown cardboard boxes.

Got a package from Zavvi last saturday. It has the IOSS logo on it but tonight I received a payment request for the VAT plus handling costs.

IOSS system means Vat is paid if value of goods is €150 or less IOSS is for items with a value €150 or less Zavvi euro prices now include EU Vat for delivery address in EU countries Revenue in Netherlands will receive that Vat payment at a later time It's done monthly The one stop shop collects the vat from retailers then later passes on that to revenue in the EU country the parcel was delivered. If you do end up paying contact Zavvi and they will refund you that payment How the new system works is explained below https://www.revenue.ie/en/vat/vat-ec...oss/index.aspx https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/ioss_en EU wants most retailers and ecommerce business based outside EU to register for a Vat ID in a EU country and also register for the new IOSS system It's not mandatory but makes sense for a business to use this new system The more that register will mean faster delivery and quicker customs clearance Last edited by paulboland; 08-12-2021 at 12:01 AM. |

1 title that was due on July 19 was held up by Netherlands Customs and I had t pay handling and VAT. Zavvi refunded me before I could pick the thing up at the local postoffice. 1 title that was due on July 12 is still missing... |

Shouldn't happen, of course. You could ask the carrier (or whoever sent you the bill) why they don't accept Zavvi's pre-payment.

IOSS system vat payments are received from multi retailers electronically Those payments are done on a monthly basis and then passed onto revenue in EU countries Your local postal carrier should not requested vat payment from you if a parcel has IOSS label and code on it A retailer that has registered for IOSS goods with a value of €150 or less eu vat is already included in your purchase when placing an order with the retailer Last edited by paulboland; 08-12-2021 at 05:20 PM. |

That's probably the most likely reason why we are getting customs charges for IOSS deliveries, but the problem could also be on Zavvi's side (like invalid pre-registration ID or electronic filing). The process is complicated. IOSS sellers would have to explicitly state the VAT at least at point of sale, or their VAT ID for the carrier, and who knows if all that is necessary is happening?
