United Kingdom Once Upon a Time Complete Series 1-7 on Amazon UK for about $56 USD shipped

Amazon.co.uk - Once Upon a Time Complete Series 1-7

This just had a good price drop down to £45.89. After completing checkout it came out to $55.84 for me with standard shipping--you could probably get it for a dollar or two less if you use a credit card with a low foreign transaction fee.

EDIT: The regular price has been about £59.99 and has gone back and forth down to £53.99 in recent times, but I seriously doubt it could drop much below this, especially since it's still quite new.

Considering Season 7 by itself is still at $40 in the US before tax, it's a great price for the whole set and it is Region Free.

If I didn't already own Seasons 1 - 5 I'd probably get this but I do like the regular packaging better so I'll probably just get the 2 I need from DMC.

Season 7 has a Region B/2 flag on it in the store. And that Complete Series set has it listed as Region B/2 (however the 1-6 set is flagged as Region Free).

I am tempted to just buy the 1-6 set for a little less and forego the last season. On the other hand, I do have a region free Blu-Ray player.

Heck with it, it's only $3-4 more, so I went for it. Better to love the show as a whole rather than trying to exclude a season.

What store? Does that store have a track record of being accurate? If the answer is Amazon or Zavvi, then that's an easy No.
As far as I'm aware no retailer has been as accurate as the people in this forum

I think it's already been reported that S7 is region free -- or at least Region A+B.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Once-...lu-ray/213488/

the back cover has he A/B/C symbol and no Disney movie or TV show I'm aware of premiering after mid 2010 has been released region locked

Amazon.co.uk. When you look at Season 7 on its own, it has B/2. Seasons 1-6 have Region Free flags on them. But the Season 1-7 collection has B/2 in its description.

But if it is Region A, I'll try it out in a couple of weeks and get back to the thread here.

The back cover the site has does list A/B/C on it. It's why I am wary as to how they think this is Region B/2. But then, it isn't the first time they have mislabeled things.

Amazon doesn't care -- they don't test them and the manufacturers don't list them that way. I absolutely love when people the Minimum wage employees and ask them. How would they know? They're just going to read the listing on the website and then people get all upset when it turns out to be region free later -- "But Amazon told me......"

They are released in Region B country so by default they're labelled Region B -- that doesn't mean they're locked to B, just the release country. Anything extra isn't their concern. Sometimes after release if they get enough reports/questions and get confirmation from the manufacturer/Distributor that it's OK to list it Region Free, they sometimes will.

In a CYA form, if they list it RegionFree and its not (has happened a few times) they are on the hook for refund/return costs so its safer for them to take the lowest common denominator and let the customers find the information from the real sources.

With the exception of that one season of Lost being published as B/2 only, has anything ABC or Disney owned been flagged for a specific region?

Not sure though I'm not aware of another Disney TV series that is locked, but there could be.

So many of these shows are mixed ownership it's hard to keep track of who is controlling the release of which sets -- who made it, who showed it, who has distributor rights across multiple countries.

Just scanning the 60 sets UK/Disney/TV only the Lost Season 4 [EDIT - not S5] (2008) was listed as locked. Some hadn't been tested yet though most of the big series have been region free. Star Wars Rebels, OUAT, Lost (the rest), all the Marvel tie in series

I can't find any other series released in UK under ABC Banner other than the Disney sets.

Season 4 of Lost was Region B locked.

Sorry about that -- S4 (2008) not S5 (2009) was locked. I'll correct the post.

Still that seems to an isolated item.

I'm trying to bundle as many things together when I order from Amazon UK. Is Lost The Complete Series at a good price to buy too or should I only go with Once Upon A Time right now?

Lost is a good buy from the UK because trying to get the US set is going to cost quite a bit. At that point, you'd have to order each season separately. Cost-wise, it may be just as bad unless you go used.

However, there is a caveat with Lost from overseas: Season 4 somehow issued as Region B locked. Means you'll need a region-free Blu-Ray player to watch it, or buy the US version of Season 4 and swap the disks in.
