Default Target to start only releasing on Blu?

Went to work yesterday morning to do the new releases and to my surprise, some of the BD's that went out have sister HD-DVD titles. And guess what? They're not being sold at any Targets. Maybe besides a few big titles that come i.e. American Gangster, Target will stop releasing HD-DVD!

Could you be refering to the Warner titles that have a 21 day wait, upon release of the Blu-ray version?

If you are saying you are working at a Target and they are not carrying HD DVD anymore that is false. I am good friends with the district Entertainment person and that is not the case. For now HD DVD movies will be sold just like the Blu Rays, although priority is given to Blu Ray. And like it has been said before the only HD DVD player is the Add on for the 360 and that will be it.

BTW i checked the Street date list and those HD DVD's that were delayed for the 21 days or whatever aren't listed at all, so it looks like Target wont be getting them in.

Maybe someone can confirm this, but don't stores only order what they can sell, on a store-by-store basis? We have two Target's within equal distance of us, and I've seen completely different products in some sections. Was looking for a West Bend popcorn popper and was told at one Target that the didn't carry it, whereas the other store had about a half-dozen out on the shelf. Just a thought.... but maybe Peech's store doesn't sell very much HD DVD, so they don't stock 'em?

Target was suppose to go blu exclusive last year, did not happen.

Titles are still coming out, sections are still in the stores. No additional annoucement has come out on a change in policy??

Still see the red team in there.

It depends on how big the store is. Planogram is the same store to store for the most part. Obviously there will be more in larger stores though. But there are select few things that are only in certain stores which could possibly be test stores. And we barely sell HD-DVD's. Personally I've NEVER sold one at my store. Only one 360 add-on. But it is a college town where a lot of people have PS3's.

Yes, it was for hardware sales at the stores. No HD-DVD players, just Blu-Ray at the stores.
