Definitely one to pick up in 4k.
I was surprised how good the BD looked after all these years. Certainly looks better than most of the other WB titles that came out back then. Like most BDís I watch now was I was thinking how great a UHD will look. Itís a flat movie so the extra contrast will be welcome.

Out of all the catalogue titles I've revisited the past six months, this was one I hoped would see a new remaster soonish. Was among the first few blu rays I ever picked up, having never owned it on dvd. Meant to rewatch Batman Returns during the summer but it got away from me, I remember the blu ray looking nice for that.

This was #1 on my wish list.

I was 4 years old when this came out. Was my favorite as a kid and still is to this day. So excited for this! Keaton is still the best Batman! And there will never be another Batman movie this dark again.

For the first 3!
It I will settle for lossless original audio and better IQ than the BDs had.

Knowing WB there's probably an Atmos remix coming our way, at least for '89.

Was listening just yesterday to the most excellent Art of the Score podcast episode on Danny Elfman's score to the 1989 original (seriously, give it a listen) and then proceeded to wonder what was happening with the long rumored 4K release. Guess I got my answer!

The soundtrack is epic! The Main theme, descent into mystery, attack of the batwing, up the Cathedral, waltz of death and finale. Danny Elfman work is a masterpiece

I wish Burton would do a director's cut. He doesn't need to add anything, just remove the Prince music.
