Indeed so but that's not the issue here. This is a digital handshake problem when the audio momentarily disconnects to do the scene branching. I can simulate it by pausing a dolby Atmos stream on other discs.

I really never understood why that scene was even bothered it just felt like some random dream moment almost like everything was just in their head because what they all went through by the time they made to the French Plantation. Sure the fight or talk about communism during dinner was interesting but the odd time shift from probably 6 PM to a dark night time was just strange for me and when Willard was doing opiates while the Plantation owners wife(forgot if it was his wife) dancing around the drapes naked than it goes to the next day like it never happened.

The whole scene just felt to long and dragged on it really does not add anything other than if you cared to understand why many French people were in Vietnam also.

Just ordered this from amazon Canada but there was two listings that looked identical but one was only $30 which is the one I ordered. Can you confirm that there’s only one version of that set and that it’s made of ridiculously cheap cardboard paper?

It's the same type of cardboard as any other digipak, the print looks quite nice too. The only dumb thing about it is the lack of a slipbox.

Yeah the packaging should have a hardcover box like 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Watching this on my Sony x950g and really digging the HDR highlights on this one. You really feel the sun during the day scenes. It’s awesome .

Eh, I just hold the front flaps of the j-card in place (I didn't bother to detach it from the back panel) and slide it into place on the shelf, then the other boxes on either side hold it in place easily enough.

Exactly. Dunderheaded package design, to be sure, but easily dealt with.

It's the issue for me. And it was my post that he was responding to. btw I cleaned the redux/theatrical disc with warm water, a bit of washing up liquid and a microfibre cloth and redux still freezes in the same spot so it's not as if I haven't already tried cleaning the UHD disc. At least (with that Denon firmware update) theatrical cut now plays perfectly.

Seriously wonder how much more would have cost the studio to have added a slip box or how hard it has to be for them to make slip boxes.

We love our movies, we love our packaging, we love our steel, we love our slips, we love magnets and Velcro.

Make sure to look at the cover art for this one upside down. Just noticed what the designer did with it and had a "whoa" moment.

Yeah, I mean, Netflix DVD is ten times better than Netflix, with a FAR more expansive selection to choose from, but people have gotten so damn lazy that there are only like thirteen Netflix shipping centers left in the country now, which means slower shipments and fewer Blu-rays, and yet I often hear them ***** that Netflix doesn't have that much good content anymore. Makes no sense. If they would just get off their butts and go to the mailbox, they'd have an endless supply of movies. I think many apartment buildings have the outgoing mailbox right in the freaking building.

Such people are mostly laboring under the insane delusion that ditching physical media makes them "future minded" or "ahead of the curve" or some shit. Well, they're ahead of the future stupidity curve for sure. They're the same morons who sold all their vinyl LPs in 1990 because "no one listens to these any more".
