Beebe filmed with Alexa M cameras mounted on a stereo rig custom made by Stereotec in Germany. Each camera delivered 3.2K resolution which was upscaled in the final picture to 4K.
Quote:
The film is being distributed in versions including a top-of-the-range 4K 3D 240 (120 per eye) and extreme brightness of 28 foot-lamberts per eye across up to 100 new screens in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Screens with Dolby Vision will be able to show 120 2K at 14fl brightness and the main worldwide release is likely to be at 2K 3D 60.

I’ll buy anything that’s native HFR. I hate that no one besides Lee seems to be using it.

Native 4K + Dolby Vision + 60fps + Atmos (or DTS-X) + not an awful movie like Billy Lynn(I like the trailer)...

MAN, I can't wait!!!! HFR FTW

This movie has me quite curious, I’d consider it a silly concept or too similar to Looper if it wasn’t for Will Smith & Ang Lee, who has always been great at telling a story.

I hope they use a BD-100 disc, the posted specs show a BD-66 disc but this is most likely a typo.

This movie is either going to be really good, or really bad.

I really have no interest in seeing this, I'm not much of an Ang Lee fan.

More like Gimmick Man.

Remember when Ang Lee was making great films? I feel like he became another director interested more with technology than storytelling.

Very overlooked film, probably because of the technology. It's also really low key but I love it.

@Mierzwiak, if you don't like Billy Lynn, you only have to go back to Life Of Pi as a moment when "Ang Lee was making great films".

@birdztudio: then watch the 2D 24fps version LOL.

Some of the comments in this thread are frightening.

It's not healthy to be afraid of opinions different than yours.

Life of Pi is trash, thank you.
