Fandango Now had the digital for $10 during the Golden Globe Promotion and since Fox/Disney is putting it out the digital ports over to all Movies Anywhere providers.

Bought the physical B2G1 from the Best Buy promotion.

I saw a screener last week and it's an awesome film. History has a way of correcting itself.

Can't wait for this one to come out. Loved it at the theater and it was fun taking my GT350 to go watch it.

Great movie. Bale deserves his nomination for best actor. I thought he was fantastic in this.

Definitely. Was nice to see (and hear) him being English rather than the typical New York/Brooklyn accent he always does.

They really do. Although thankfully they do pretty good with compression. If I remember correctly, Avengers: Endgame also used a 66GB disc and the compression on that wasnít lacking at all somehow (and itís a 3hr movie). As long as they know when to increase the bitrate (since you can have it go at higher peaks temporarily) it should look fine.

Endgame wasn't a grainy movie though, not that FvF looks like it was shot on sandpaper but it had some grain emulation applied which may not play nice with such a low average bitrate. That said, the filmmakers dialled down the applied grain from 50% to just 10% for the 108-nit theatrical Dolby Vision version, so if they started with that grade as the base for the home version then look out for it not seeming as grainy as the SDR disc.

Fox have/had a similar allergy to UHD100's (using the total sum of two: Alien and the overseas release of Braveheart) so I'm not sure what difference it being Disnee makes to the situation.

Interesting. I guess we'll see. Could it be possible they used the theatrical DV version for both SDR and HDR on blu-ray (aka for both standard and 4K blu-ray)?

SDR releases of new movies still seem like they're trimmed out of the actual SDR masters because such things are still being prepared separately, whereas for new studio remasters of older movies they're often doing them in HDR first and then just adapting the SDR out of that (which doesn't always result in the best SDR version).
