Okay, I'm a little shocked. I just found out Vinegar Syndrome does a subscription plan, and now I find out Arrow did something similar?? How do I find details on these plans?? Are they still around??

I joined this forum because I never seem to find out about good film releases until they're sold out. How can I find the best place for getting in on these deals before they go up??

This was only available during their crowd funding a few years back. The best way to keep up is just to stay active on the site, check the deals forum now and then too.

I got the latest package on Weds, but the box was so tight for all the titles with barely any padding. The steel and Bloody birthday were ok, but the slip boxes for Django and DePalma were pretty damaged. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine was waiting for me when I came back after having been out of town for a few days. It was left outside and of course we got the first rain in months. The outer box was pretty much pulp but no damage to the contents and there was plenty of padding. Perhaps a bigger box than yours came in.

To date, I don't think there has ever been a better deal than the Arrow Gold Backer Indiegogo one. 2 years or so into the 5 year deal and I still can't believe it each time a new box arrives. Haven't crunched the numbers, but it feels like it has already paid off and the rest is just icing on the cake. Now if only I did the 10 year deal!

[Show spoiler]Waterworld, Forbidden Photos and Willie Dynamite
arrived yesterday. Another package due in tomorrow presumably with
[Show spoiler]Crimson Peak.

So, depending on how you prefer to do the countdown, I guess March announcements officially puts us 5-year Gold Backers one year away from the End of the Party...

I really wish they'd consider some sort of re-up program akin to what Vinegar Syndrome does for their annual packages.

I was only able to do the ten titles package during the original campaign, but if they offered a yearly subscription, I would be on board without a second thought. I mentioned the idea to some of the Arrow folks earlier this year at Texas Frightmare weekend. Would love to see this happen.

On a brighter note,

Indeed. I was totally blown away by their treatment of Crimson Peak. Just a gorgeous job all around.

[Show spoiler]Horror Express, Color Me Blood Red and Audition
arrived.

Is the latter the same transfer as the UK release? If so I'll just sell the US release unopened.

Turns out that is incorrect and Arrow has redone the encode with 4gb more allocated to the film, according to here:

Whether it noticeably looks any better remains to be seen.
