I have seen in the forum people say they are Region free and to get the 88films version , but Don't know if something has changed or if Region B is ok. Please help as I do not know about these things. thank you

Just yesterday I received my copy of Puppet Master from Amazon UK. It is in fact region-free (region A, B, C). I'm pretty sure PM 2 + 3 will be the same. If not, then I'm screwed.

Yes Puppet Master 2 and 3 are region free, I emailed 88 Films personally and they told me they would be. So is Castle Freak by the way.

I'm wondering if I have a bootleg of the first Puppet Master on blu?, there is no pop menu option when the film is playing, you must go back to the disc menu, and on then the menu screen, it has the words cut off on the sides (for example the word "back" is "ack" on my screen.

there is a screenshot here that shows the whole menu screen with no cut sides
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Puppe...0/#Screenshots

that's what I get for buying a used copy...

Nope your fine, just turn off overscan on your tv and everything will be normal.

Also you should probably just buy the UK disc anyway, you'll be happier.

Ok........but the Uk releases don't cost that much more and your getting lossy audio and more important it's a Full Moon disc......might not last long.

So what's the deal with the US FullMoon release? Was it recalled or canceled or something? How much was it vs the UK trilogy? How much is the UK trilogy if that's all that's available?

You have to buy them at the Full Moon website.

Famous really screwed up story. Full Moon released the first Puppet Master on Blu-ray a year or so ago. First the discs were issued with a defect. They were supposed to have 5.1 sound(lossy) and they were only in stereo. So they allowed people to replace the old discs with the new ones. OK minor problem and they made it right, sounds good right? Then the next time people go to put their discs in they don't work. If you contact Full Moon they claim to know nothing about it. When you ask him on Facebook they ignore it. Turns out all those replacement discs rotted.

So overall I don't trust Full Moon. Not to mention the UK discs are going to have lossless sound, the US counterparts won't. That right there should be enough to make you choose 88 FIlms. Plus the cool cover art and booklet.

If you go to Amazon UK the trilogy is 50.70(that price is with shipping included) to the US. With that your getting a UK exclusive commentary for the first PM, lossless audio on all 3, better packaging and it shouldn't rot out like a Full Moon disc.

If you go to the Full Moon website(it's not available on Amazon anymore) the US set is $51.12 and that is with the cheapest possible shipping option. To me this is a no brainer.

Looks like I'll be making my first import purchase, then. I was going to buy the UK version of the Universal Monsters set, but my desire to get it release day got the better of me. This time, though, I think I'm going to go through with it.

If only they would release 4 and 5, then I would be all done. 6 and on are all horrible. I did pre-order Castle Freak though, after that and hopefully the release of 4 and 5I will be all done with Full Moon titles.

I work at movie stop and saw this just sitting on the shelf. Not only was it marked 21.99 for all 3 but I got my employee discount of 15% off. I wasn't going to open this but now im tempted to see if the disks play.
