Maybe, maybe not. Look, I am going to be stuck in traffic for like an hour after the game anyway, why not stick around and enjoy some free A/C?

Exactly. The outcome of that game was already decided in the first half. We were absolutely pathetic. No and, if or buts about it. We were completely outplayed by the Celts. I really hope we have an answer for game 3 in Boston. We can't let them shoot 10-12 in three pointers to start the game with and expect to win.

Anyway, for the record, I was at an Elton John concert a few weeks ago at the FTX Arena (Miami Heat's house), and it took me almost an hour and a half to get there from Fort Lauderdale, which is the next big town just north of it. Traffic was absolutely horrendous. The weather didn't help. So until you've actually experienced driving in and out of Downtown Miami during rush hour traffic reserve your judgment. There may be some fair weather fans in South Florida at times, but most people have a legit obstacle to overcome coming to and from games there.

I hear ya, g7. I’m in L.A. so I drive in traffic that’s 10-12mph/avg. on the freeway all the time. I’m just saying that fans support their team unconditionally. It looks bad when there’s still a quarter left in a game and 75% of the fans bail on you.
Not just directed toward the Heat, but any team. Been going to Clips/Lakers games for decades and wouldn’t leave my team hangin’ under any circumstance.

Nice win tonight for us, especially considering we were playing against the Celts and the refs. Man, they tried hard to give this game to them, but we persevered through it all. I just hope it's nothing serious for Jimmy with that injury. If he's out the the next game, then it'll be tough to win back to backs in Boston. It was nice for Bam to finally show up and prove what he's capable of. We just need to continue to feed him throughout the whole game and not just in portions. Great D by Oladipo tonight, especially in the 3rd. This is why we got him.

Two down, two to go! Go Heat!

sounds like Butler will be back for game 4, good news for the Heat

Prob gonna be a sweep for the Warriors. Luka really needs a consistent sidekick

God this Lakers coaching search looks like a cluster. Juwan Howard passed on an interview. Don't know why even look at him, other than he was a Bron teammate in Miami, he is not a spectacular coach so far.
The other names in the mix, Darvin Ham, Kenny Atkinson and Terry Stotts aren't inspiring choices. Of those Stotts would be my choice, at least he was consistent in Portland.

There's been far too few of these yams from him. Very disappointing dunk output throughout his career.

Luka ballin but Mavs cool down from 3. I hope they get one but they sounded defeated after game e3 since no team has come back from that.

I think they have to because their athleticism at the wings is lacking a bit.

Can they afford to keep Wiggins though?

If they pay that luxury tax sure. I think the Warriors are worth like !4-$5 billion, the owners can afford it

What will be interesting to see if they flip him with some of their younger picks for another “star”.

pretty much all the owners, esp the major markets, are worth billions but they all only ever dip their toes in the luxury tax for a season or two. I think there is, or there used to be, a penalty for going into the luxury after two or three seasons

Worth 4 billion is different than having 4 billion. Besides even if had that money you can't expect to pay 177+ million every year.

Think it all depends on how much Wiggins wants to get paid.

Duke's Mark Williams will be the longest player in the NBA next season, with a 9'9 standing reach, beating the current top-3 of Mo Bamba, Rudy Gobert and Boban Marjanovic. He's 7'2 in shoes and has a 7'7 wingspan.

That was one of the most pathetic first half performances I've ever seen from any team, let alone the Heat. Geez. I just hate it when we embarrass ourselves like this. Why even come out for the opening tip, might as well just forfeit the game. Just shameful. I truly hope that they have an ounce of pride in them and come out swinging at home in game 5, otherwise it'll definitely be over in 6. Ugh.

too many blowouts in the playoffs in general....feel like half of all the games played have been borderline unwatchable.

The Bucks / Celtics series is about the only really competitive one thus far. The Grizzlies / Warriors is nice and somewhat fun to watch, there are couple blow outs in the series though.

I feel like some of these players (many in fact) just don't have the drive, passion or work ethic for us fans to expect anything different. Let's not even talk about pride. That's definitely in short supply these days. This is another reason why I miss the old days (e.g. the 90's). Those boys were all grinding it out till they had nothing left in the tank at the end. That is one of the main reasons I miss those days and loathe today's league in a way. The modern game is full of pampered primadonnas that just don't care enough. It's a sad reality.
