I was surprised and disappointed by Wise's objection to T&A in ST:TMP considering that his The Andromeda Strain showed a surprising amount of nudity for a mainstream sci-fi film. BTW, Kirk and Alexandria Keys were swimming in the Pacific (not SF Bay) in GR's In Thy Image teleplay which also - it may be noted - hinted at the existence of 23rd century pederasty as during their dash to Starfleet HQ we glimpse a teenage boy holding hands with a geezer in his 70s.

I don't hate Tarantino and it has nothing to do with my personal morals. It's just that Tarantino is very limited in his scope as a filmmaker and his style would not mesh well with certain franchises and their target audiences (Star Trek being a prime example).

Let's see him write and direct a small, character piece that doesn't involve lashings of swearing, gore and smug pop culture references and then I'll re-evaluate my opinion.

Im honestly just tired of OG Star Trek films. I want Next Gen and Deep Space Nine. Can we please make a very dark gritty Next Gen movie.
