Your not going to get off screen effects like you do a per say Disney World. 3D offers a world of depth no doubt. I have a six year old daughter and that is why I own 3d. there are many great cartoons and family oriented features on blu for the format. Again if you could provide some information about your set I will be glad to guide you in what you need. try starting with the make or model of your Emerson Tv . We will go from there.

As for offscreen effects like Disneyworld, I would say it's capable of that, because I got exactly that with one of the home movies I took.

However, it was kind of hard on my eyes trying to look at it that close when the screen was farther away.

I deleted that 3d home movie file, as it was only a test anyways. Nothing important in it.

My tv is about 20 feet away from my bed.

The image appeared about half a foot in front of me.

So I would say it is definitely capable of it.

My tv is only 32 inches.

Interesting post resurrection here. I looked back at my old post, and it's still accurate today. Funny, I got put on the sidelines for my comments back then. For a year. They're still accurate.

Very odd.

I don't know where you buy your TVs but I have never spent $3000 for 3d TVs, I prefer passive 3d myself and never seen a 'blurry' image on my 21:9 vizio cinemawide 3d HDTV! And that's with half the resolution of 1080, seems to be a lot of bais saying going on, by people, who never watch 3d...Besides with today's 4k and with passive 3d should be magnificent.

Why do I constantly hear crying of wearing glasses alone at home and 'looking geeky'? Who the hell is watching you? On top of that, these same crybabies are so keen on getting $600 huge goggles VR systems, what a bunch of hypocrits... 3d movies is just a step down from VR experience. And with the right software, you would be able to view the same VR images video on 3d HDTV and a trackball to move around image!!!!
