Samsung Galaxy Note!

Had NFC activated all this time. No wonder my battery needed to be recharged once a day and sometimes more. Turned it off and now it like almost doubled the standby/talk time.

Hope the note doesn't replace tablets. I love my ipad mini and Nexus 7. The note is a great device but a little small for video and book reading in my opinion. For on the go, note is great, at home in bed, I want ipad and nexus 7 sizes.

Looks like my phone needs a repair. When I press the side button to activate the screen it shows the pic I have loaded. To get to the apps and stuff I have to swipe up. No problems ever. But now, when I get there and press the Apps icon it opens up and then toggles back. It does this about 3-4 times. I can't get into my apps. I don't know if this is a software issue or not, but I'm having it checked out today. GRR!

I'm off to work, but I'll keep you posted when I get back home.

Problem solved. My battery was at the very end of its life and caused the software to go all weird. Working fine again! Phew.

So earlier today I went to pluck my phone out of my locker at work to find the device red hot, and a near 100% battery completely flat. Does that mean my phone's broken, overheated perhaps? Does that mean my batteries had it? But why, do they just break like that?

I got home, charged it up, it was pretty warm while charging but no heat once the charging was completed but since charging the battery is immediately draining, not fast but still noticeable (I've lost a few percent in the last ten or so minutes and am not even using the device).

My Note 3 has started overheating every time I plug it in to charge, I've tried different chargers and while the older, slower, chargers don't cause the device to heat up as much physically it's still overheating.

So what does this tell you? Time to change the battery? Or am I going to have to buy a whole new phone?

Decided I will sell my Samsung Galaxy S4 BB exclusive back to Verizon. Going to upgrade early on Friday to a Note 5 and use the gift card I get to get an Otterbox for it and pay or help pay my next 2 bills. Also going to need to find a belt latch for it that will fit the Otterbox since I doubt it will fit easily in my pocket. Still not getting the insurance, not worth $11 a month to me when the armour will protect it most of the time and I will be handling it with 2 hands at least 90% of the time.

Those of you who has the Galaxy Note 8, does your phone stays black after a few seconds w/o using it? I d/l the new update last night and before I did, when I don't use it for a few, the date and time always was shown and now it's not.

Mine is always on, so maybe it's a setting on yours.
