Hey,
On my TV I have a setting - IRE - going from 0 to 100, anyone know what this is and what I should set it at for TV, DVD and BD? It was always set at 100 and I just left it alone previously ![]() Last edited by grim_tales; 07-02-2021 at 02:42 PM. |

Yes, leave well alone unless you know what you are doing.
AFAIK, this is only really for calibrators with the right gear, as it's not something you can do by eye, and if you try you'll likely just make the picture worse. |

Changing the 100 won't actually do anything (they just represent the stimulus), it will just bring up the option to adjust other IREs, but unless you're using measuring devices or you just want to play around (don't play around if your display is calibrated and you haven't got your values written down!), you're better off leaving them alone like other posters have said. |
