Exactly what does " a good size" TV mean because it could mean any size, and the prices are being reduced every year, when the new models arrive. You have to be more specific. The majority of all 4K TVs have HDR 10 which is basic HDR, and they are very reasonable depending on the size you want. To really see the benefit of a 4K TV, I wouldn't get a size under 48". If a person contemplating on buying a 48", they might as well spend a few more dollars and get a 50". The smallest 4K TV you can buy is a 32 inch and those cost $400.00+ including tax.

By "good" do you mean Samsung, LG or Sony? If so, the answer is never.
But you will probably be able to get one this year from Hisense or TCL. |

I meant by a tv with accurate hdr colors and hdr brightness and black levels that you don’t feel like your missing out. plus that price point was in regards to it being on sale making it get to the 300 to 330 dollar price range.

It's recommended to have a 4K TV calibrated to get the optimal video performance from it. The viewer will not miss anything because all the A/V setting and other features are there, for viewer to adjust the TV to their personal preference.

The wide color gamut is easier. That's built into the panel - most 4K TVs today use 10 bit panels but again, they are not all the same quality wise. One of the big differences for LCD TVs is their backlighting. Can either be full array or edge lit. FA provides much better control through zones, which produces better blacks. It's found on the more expensive TVs When it comes to TV sets, you get what you pay for. |

Not really. Have you considered getting a part time job for the holidays and saving that money for a top notch TV? Of course I have no idea what your home/financial situation is and whether this is an option for you.

Also you can try to look for open box TVs which are discounted for various of reasons. It's recommended to buy an extended warranty (the same as a brand new TV) in case something goes wrong with it, and you'll be covered. Manufacturers don't make TVs like they use to, they make them to break, so it's almost a necessity to buy a extended warranty now at least for 4 years or more. I know for a fact because I got burned once by not buying an extended warranty, and I'm not going to make the same mistake again. It was a bought lesson for me.
